Now that you’ve branded your profile on JustGiving it’s time to spread the word and get people giving and fundraising online!

Don’t be shy! The more you can do to raise awareness, the more likely it is that you’ll boost fundraising and donations.

In this quick presentation, we’ll show you how to:

• make it easy to donate online• promote online fundraising• raise money on Facebook.

Make it easy to donate onlineThe easiest way to increase donations to your charity is to add a clear way for people to donate on your website.

We’ve got a couple of ready-made options for you to choose from. Let’s take a look.


The Donate Button

The simplest way to get people giving online to your cause is to add our Donate Button to your website.

Your supporters simply click it and they are taken straight to your Charity Profile on JustGiving to make their donation.

TOP TIP Make sure your button is easy to find on your website, so people can show they care with a simple click.

Tree of Hope has its ‘Donate’ button right at the top of the page – no scrolling required! This makes it simple for anyone visiting their website to give in an instant.

• Click on the button you’d like to use

• Its HTML code will appear in the box to the right, under Step 2.

This code can be used to make the donate button appear on your website via your content management system (CMS). If you don’t have a CMS, you’ll need to speak to someone with a bit of technical expertise to help you add it to your website.

• Click Copy if you'd like to add the HTML to your website yourself – you can then paste it in to your CMS.

• You can send the code directly to your

web manager, or the person that updates your website, by adding an email address.

Donate Box

Donate Box is a plugin for your website that makes it easy for people to donate and share their donation with their friends.

You can have it up and running in just a few minutes so your supporters can give using our fast, mobile-friendly donation-flow.

Make a page Button

Whether your supporters are taking part in one of your events or raising money for an appeal, encourage them to fundraise online so they help you raise more money.

Pop a Make a page Button on your website and your supporters will be taken straight to your profile on JustGiving. When they click on Fundraise for us, their page is created. Simple!



Remember Button

We’ve also made buttons that help your supporters raise money online in memory of a loved one.

With the click of a button, they’ll be able to create a special type of fundraising page. We call them In Memory pages.

They have a sensitive theme and automatically connect to a collection page. It brings together all the fundraising happening in memory of one person, and acts as a lasting legacy.

Here’s an example

Stroke Association encourages people taking part in their events to fundraise online using JustGiving.

They explain why they want people to use JustGiving and the benefits – “you’ll raise more money” and “your friends and family can quickly and easily donate”.

They also use one of our ready-made buttons, which means people can set up a JustGiving page with just a couple of clicks.

Raise money on FacebookDoes your organisation have a page on Facebook? Make it easy for people to donate with our giving app.
