My Media Institution Choice

As the Hip Hop music genre is very popular in the world in this moderns compared to other genres such as K-Pop. There are quite a few publishers who are interested in the Hip Hop genre and there is well known publisher who would distribute my product. Bauer Media are a successful publishing company. They publish magazine such as ‘Q’ and ‘Mojo’. They have also been lucrative in publishing many magazines from different genres. Despite them publishing music magazines, they do not necessarily have any rap professional magazines. So this is an advantage to me as it could be one option.

HARRIS PUBLICATIONS

Harris Publications are the publishers of the well known 'XXL' magazines. This implies that they have lots of good experience in selling a great amount of magazines according to the prosperity of the XXL magazine company. and are able to help me in the publishing process. Furthermore, their headquarters are based in the US, meaning there is a greater chance of me reaching a wider range of audience and fans.

IPC MediaThis is a consumer magazine and digital publisher in the United Kingdom, with a large portfolio selling over 350 million copies each year. IPC Media publishes music magazines such as 'NME' and as you can see, they have had loads of success. Almost like Bauer Media, they don't publish any rap magazines, so I know possibly this would be a great publisher as they would get a greater segment of the music industries. In addition, as it's their first, they could urge it far to compete with the competitors such as of 'XXL' and 'VIBE'.

I am aware of the many challenges that I'll come across to try and secure a publisher and combat the it could appear to the audience as boring. As the world is changing and becoming more and more advance, the level of magazine use has declined tremendously. Evidently leading to the decrease in sales of magazines as a consequence of technological changes and magazines being released online at any given period. As a result of this I have come to the conclusion of offering a special section which will attract more audience and readers and it will not be available anywhere else, not even online. I have also included a subscription area where when people sign up for a year they receive a discount price of the every 3 release of issues.
