3 words 4 entrepreneurs
B. Parameshwar Babu, Founder, PPP Group of Companies
1, 2, 3• Goal - The first thing for an entrepreneur is to have a goal, and then to start working
towards the goal. You don’t have to spend a huge amount of money to work on your initial goals. You might work in a garage, that’s not a problem.
• Confidence - Once you are confident that you are producing something of value, it’s time to go out; take it to the people outside. That’s the second step that you need to do.
• Comeback - The third step is often the most difficult. To sustain and persevere is always going to be challenging. When you have good revenues initially, keep control on your costs; do not get carried away. For young entrepreneurs, initial success or initial failure, both are extreme dangers, I would say. After the first 2 years, I had phenomenal success, but that created a sense of complacency; and again I had to bounce back. Be prepared at any point of life to go into ‘Vanavasam’ in the sense that there would be a period of silence where you are not getting the respect, and yet you have to be bold and tell yourself, I would go to a forest and stay away and work towards my goal. Then make a comeback. That is the kind of attitude I think that actually creates entrepreneurs who are of long-term, and those who fall down often yet come back. That’s the third and most important thing. (Story)
