    PRESENTATION

    MODELS AVAILABLE

MCA 45 to 115 wall-hung condensing gas boilers offer aresolutely modern aesthetic in line with the Innovens range anda meticulous finish. With compact external dimensions (500 x 500x 750 mm for all models) and less weight, MCA boilers are verysimple to install and offer easy maintenance and accessibility.

    THEYOFFERHIGHLEVELSOFPERFORMANCE:- Annual operating efficiency up to 110%- Low pollutant emissions: MCA 45: NOx < 37 mg/kWh, MCA 65: NOx < 32 mg/kWh, MCA 90: NOx < 45 mg/kWh, MCA 115: NOx < 46 mg/kWh,

    - NOx classification:5 according to: - EN 483 (MCA 45, MCA 65)

    - pr EN 15420 (MCA 90, MCA 115)

STRONGPOINTS:- Compact, one-piece heating body in aluminium/

silicium alloy with a large exchange surface and low waterresistance, offers considerable resistance to corrosion andrequires only a very low irrigation flow rate (unless operating> 75C) thanks to the burner control system, which managesthe transitional phases in the installation which cause verylow flow rates in the boiler. Its accessibility from the frontfacilitates maintenance,

    - Pre-mix burner in stainless steel with surface in wovenmetal fibres, modulating from 18 to 100% of the output forperfect adaptation to needs, fitted with an air intake silencer.Low CO and NOx emissions allowing optimal environmentalprotection,

    - Gas line with non return valve,Equipped to operate on natural gases and propane withoutconversion kit,

    - INNOVENS PRO boilers can be delivered with the customerschoice of one of the two control panels:

DIEMATIC iSystem: control panel in which the controlsystem is open to all installation configurations, including themost complex. As delivered, it can be used to control andregulate a direct circuit. With the addition of a sensor, it can be used to regulatea primary circuit with mixing valve; with the addition of aPCB + sensor, it can control a secondary circuit with mixing

valve. Installation of a DHW sensor enables regulationwith priority to a DHW circuit. It is specifically designedto enable the optimisation of management of combinedsystems..This control panel can also be used to control a cascadeinstallation in which only the master boiler is fitted with this

panel, the slave boiler(s) being fitted with an iniControlcontrol panel. To connect more than the three circuitspermitted to the master boiler, it is possible to insert one(or more) additional boilers with DIEMATIC iSystem controlpanel in the cascade

iniControl: is used mainly in installations (whether in cascadeor not) with external control cabinet for controlling allsecondary circuits through the 0-10V contact fitted to thispanel as standard. The panel can also be used alone tocontrol a direct circuit + 1 DHW circuit through an outsidetemperature sensor (outside and DHW sensors available asoptions),

    CONTROL PANEL DIEMATIC iSystem

    CONTROLPANELDIEMATICiSystem

The DIEMATIC iSystemcontrol panel is a very advancedcontrol panel, with new control ergonomics which includeselectronic programmable regulation as standard to modulatethe boiler temperature by activating the modulating burner

according to the outside temperature and the room temperatureif a CDI D.iSystem, CDR D.iSystem or simplified interactive remotecontrol is connected (optional). As standard, DIEMATIC iSystem is capable of automaticallyoperating a central heating installation with a direct circuitwithout mixing valve and 1 circuit with mixing valve (the flowsensor - package AD 199 - must be ordered separately, however).By connecting another PCB + sensor for 1 valve circuit option(package AD 249), it is therefore possible to control up to 3circuits in total and each of these circuits can be fitted with a CDIor CDR D.iSystem remote control (optional).

Connection of a domestic hot water sensor makes it possible toprogramme and regulate a DHW circuit (package AD 212 -optional).This control system has been specifically developed to enable

optimum management of systems combining variousheating generators (boiler + heat pump or + solar system). It allows the installer to set the parameters for the entire heatinginstallation regardless of its degree of complexity. In the context of larger installations, it is also possible to connect2 and as many as 10 boilers in cascade. The DIEMATIC iSystem control panel will then be used as themaster for the installation, the secondary boilers being fitted withthe iniControl control panel. To connect more than the threecircuits possible to the master boiler, make provision for a second(or further) boilers with DIEMATIC iSystem in the cascade.

    INFORMATIONS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

STATUTORYINSTRUCTIONSONINSTALLATIONANDMAINTENANCEThe installation and maintenance of the appliance in bothresidential buildings and establishments open to the public must

be carried out by a qualified professional in compliance with thestatutory texts of the codes of practice in force.

    LOCATION MCA 45 and 65:

MCA 45 and 65 condensing boilers must be installed in premisesprotected from frost, which can also be ventilate, they must in noevent be installed above a heat source or a cooking appliance. The IPX4D protection index enables them to be installed inkitchens and bathrooms, excluding protection volumes 1 and 2,however. The wall to which the boiler is secured must be capableof bearing the weight of the boiler when full of water. In order to ensure adequate accessibility around the boiler, werecommend that you respect the minimum dimensions givenopposite.

    Ventilation (chimney connection only B23P):

The cross-section of the boiler room ventilation (through whichcombustive air is taken in) must comply with the prevailingstandard.

NB:For boilers connected to a concentric forced flue (typeC13x or C33x connections) ventilation of the installation premisesis not necessary, unless the gas supply includes one or moremechanical connections (cf. prevailing standard).

MCA 90 and 115:As for the MCA 90 and 115 boilers, they will be installed inaccordance with the rules on installation in mini-boiler roomsoutside the residential space, in a dedicated room. The rules oninstallation of (horizontal or vertical) terminals should also be

    respected - see page 16.

    C53)

Ventilation:Direct air inlet according to the prevailing standardTop and bottom ventilation vents mandatory- Top ventilation:

Cross section equal to half of the total cross section of the fluegas conduits with a minimum of 2.5 dm2

    - Bottom ventilation:Direct air inlet

    S (dm2) 0.86 P with P = Installed output in kW

    20

The location of air inlets in relation to the top ventilationopenings will ensure that air is renewed in the entire volume ofthe boiler room.See also recommendations in the Flue Systems booklet.

GASCONNECTIONCompliance with prevailing instructions and regulations ismandatory. In all cases, a sectional valve is fitted as close aspossible to the boiler. This valve is delivered in the hydraulicconnection kits available as optional equipment (see p. 9). A gasfilter must be fitted to the boiler inlet.

The diameters of the pipes must be defined according to theprevailing regulations.Gas supply pressure:- 20 mbar on natural gas H,- 37 mbar on propane.

    Certificate of conformity

The installer is required to draw up a certificate of conformityapproved by the ministers responsible for construction and gassafety.

ELECTRICALCONNECTIONThis must comply with the prevailing national or even localinstructions and regulations. The boiler must be powered by an electrical circuit comprisingan omnipolar switch with an opening gap > 3 mm. Protect theconnection to the mains with a 6A fuse.

Note:- The sensor cables must be separated from the 230 V circuits by

at least 10 cm- In order to protect the pump antifreeze and cleaning functions,

we recommend not switching off the boiler at the mains switch.

In order to avoid damage to boilers, it is necessary to prevent the contamination of combustion air by chloride and/orfluoride compounds, which are particularly corrosive. These compounds are present, for example, in aerosol spray cans, paints, solvents, cleaning products, washing powders/liquids, detergents, glues, snow clearing salts, etc.

It is therefore necessary:- To avoid sucking in air discharged from premises using such products: hairdressers, dry cleaners, industrial premises (solvents), premisescontaining refrigeration systems (risk of leaking refrigeration fluid), etc.- To avoid the storage of such products close to boilers. Please note that, if the boiler and/or its peripherals become corroded by chloride and/or fluoride compounds, ourcontractual warranty cannot be invoked.

    INFORMATIONS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

    HYDRAULICCONNECTIONS

Important: The principle of a condensing boiler is to recycle theenergy contained in the water vapour in the combustion gases(latent vaporisation heat). Consequently, to achieve an annualoperating efficiency in the order of 110%, it is necessary tosize the heating surfaces in such a way as to obtain low return

temperatures, below the dew point (e.g. underfloor heating, lowtemperature radiators, etc.) during the entire heating period.

Condensates dischargeIt must be connected to the waste water discharge system. Theconnection must be removable and the flow of condensatesvisible. The connections and pipes must be in corrosion-resistantmaterial. Condensates neutralisation stations are available asoptional equipment (see p. 11).

MCA boilers must only be used in closed-circuit heatinginstallations, previously cleaned to eliminate residues anddeposits caused by commissioning the installation. Furthermore,it is important to protect central heating installations against therisk of corrosion, scaling and microbiological growth: the water

treatment products used must comply with regulations.

    Requirements on heating water:- pH: 6.5 to 8.5- Chloride content < 50 mg/l- Conductivity < 500 +S/cm to 25C

    Examples of installation

The examples presented below cannot cover the full range ofinstallation scenarios which may be encountered.Their purpose is to draw the attention to the basic rules to befollowed. A certain number of control and safety devices (someof which are already integrated as standard in MCA boilers) arerepresented but it is ultimately up to installers, experts, consultantengineers and design departments to take the final decision onthe safety and control devices to be used in the boiler room

according to its specificities. In all cases, it is necessary to abideby the codes of practice and prevailing regulations.

Attention : For the connection of domestic hot water, a sleevemade of steel, cast iron or any other insulating material mustbe interposed between the hot water outlet and these pipes toprevent any corrosion to the connections, if the distribution pipesare made of copper.
