4.1. Significance and Use (Continued)thickness. Plate per ASTM A283 may be applied to all thicknesses. Heavy-thickness coils perASTM A635 may be applied up to 0.750 inches (19.05 millimeters).Material is intended to be used for parts which may required minimummechanical properties. Ma-terial can be fabricated by moderate cold bending with bend radii of one T or better, moderate hotforming, punching, and welding. Material is also suitable for general purpose machining.

Acceptance limits are statistically significant as indicated in CES 99020 unless specifically except-ed.

    4.2. Chemical Composition

Chemical composition shall be as specified by Appendix A, Table 1 when tested in accordancewith ASTM E751.

    4.3. Physical Properties

There are no physical properties required by this specification.

    4.4. Mechanical Properties

4.4.1. Tensile properties shall be as indicated in Appendix A, Table 2 when tested in accor-dance with ASTM A370.

4.4.2. Material shall be capable of being bent at room temperature in any direction through180 degrees with an inside diameter of one thickness (1T) without cracking on the outside of thebend when tested in accordance with ASTM E290.

    4.5. Structure

Microstructure shall be ferrite and pearlite.Current Release Number Std. Revision LevelPage 2 of 4003872963
