JAKARATA, DEC 30 After three days of intense search, debris of the missing AirAsia aircraft car- rying 162 people was found on Tuesday in the Java Sea off Indonesia, but only three bodies have been retrieved so far as mystery remained over the cause of the crash. Lakhvi was set to be freed from the Adaila Jail Rawalpindi Tuesday morning on the order of the Islamabad High Court. “Lakhvi was then presented before a magistrate who remanded him in cus- tody,” the official said. The Islamabad High Court on Monday sus- pended the govern- ment’s Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) under which Lakhvi was being held under detention, paving the way for his release. Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh sum- moned Pakistan High Commissioner Basit in New Delhi and the Indian mission in Islamabad took up the issue with the Pakistan Foreign Office.
