Live entertainment includes Japanese dancing, Taiko, a kimono fashion show and non-stop martial arts performances. Don’t forget to visit the Hawaiian Village and Cherry Blossom food court.

It runs Saturday from 10:30am to 6:30pm and Sunday from 10:30am to 5pm on Judge John Aiso Street between First and Temple, within easy walking distance of the Metro Gold Line Little Tokyo/Arts District Station. Adjacent to the Olvera Street marketplace and El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument where LA was founded in 1781, the Mexican American cultural center is housed within the newly renovated Vickrey-Brunswig Building and Plaza House on Main Street. The center also includes 30,000 square feet of garden.

The inaugural exhibit, LA Starts Here!, shows the role of Mexicans and Mexican Americans in the founding and shaping of LA’s history and culture from the city’s founding to the present.

CicLAvia Returns To LA Streets April 10 Some seven miles of LA city streets will be closed to car tra;c and open to pedestrians and cyclists on April 10 from 10am to 3pm as CicLAvia returns.

CicLAvia creates a temporary, 45-acre public park for residents to come walk, bicycle, jog and enjoy outdoor activities in a unique recreation space. The route stretches from Boyle Heights, through Downtown and MacArthur Park, to East Hollywood, connecting some of the city’s most park-poor neighborhoods and diverse communities.
