HISTORY AND EVENTS

Bruno Pacorini sets up his family business in Trieste specializing in logistics services to perishable goods dealers.

The company evolves and specializes in the handling of green coffee and begins to diversify and expand its activities.

The company starts the first (at that time unique) palletizing service for coffee and enters quality processing (salvaging) of green coffee.

Pacorini becomes an approved London Metal Exchange warehouse keeper and starts to play an essential role in the trading of non-ferrous metals.

The Group begins its international expansion, opening its first operation outside the Mediterranean area.

The Group has reached a global leading position in non-ferrous metals logistics and in green coffee processing operations and logistics.

Pacorini has sold the Metals division to the Glencore Group.

1933 The Group was founded in Trieste by Bruno Pacorini, in order to meet the needs of “colonial” goods’ traders, dealing with coffee, spices, dried and citrus fruits.

1960s The Group developed a specialisation in the green coffee market and began to diversify its activities.

1970s The Group carried out the first system for palletizing coffee, that enabled to widen the range of services offered to the coffee industry and to expand its involvement in handling other commodities.

1980s Pacorini became an approved London Metal Exchange warehouse keeper and start to covers an essential role in the trading of base metals.

1986 By developing and establishing Silocaf (advanced industrial plant for green coffee processing), the Group became the first coffee logistic operator in Italy.

1990s The Group exported its know-how in USA and in Brazil, through own subsidiaries.

2010Today

Pacorini is recognised as a reference point for operators and customers of freight forwarding, handling, warehousing, processing of soft commodities and specialised transportation.
