MEN’S GROUP YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPDEADLINE EXTENDED TO APRIL 20THOur Nativity Men’s Group is offering two $1000 scholarships! To apply, you must be a graduating high school senior planning to continue your education as well as be an active member of our parish. Applications are available in the parish office. Please have your completed application to the parish office by Monday, April 20, 2020.

FOOD PANTRYThe Food Pantry is still serving those in need during this time. They are open on Tuesdays from 10am - 12pm. We are currently in need of these non-perishable items: cereal, peanut butter, jelly, toilet paper and pasta. You can bring your donations to the Parish office. Thank you for your help! Please share this information with anyone in need of this outreach program.

LIFELONG FAITH FORMATIONPlease know that all of our students, their families, and our parishioners are in our prayers each day. We are doing what we can to stay in touch with you via email, text message, social media, and telephone. Faith Formation families are asked to please check their emails for important updates as we go forward with our social distancing practices. May God bless you and keep you and may you experience his loving presence during this unusual Lent. -- Jo Ann Elder, Director

FAITH FORMATION PACKET REMINDER If you have not already done so, please pick up your family’s Faith Formation packet from out in front of the parish office. These packets contain all your students’ handouts for the remainder of the year, as well as any sacramental materials. There is also a survey that you are asked to complete and return to us at your convenience. Thank you for picking these materials up as it saves the parish the expense of postage during this time. Please watch your emails for instructions from the Faith Formation Office and your child’s catechist.

FIRST EUCHARIST INFORMATIONLast week we heard from the bishop’s office that each parish may, as is usually the case, set new dates for celebrating First Eucharist once public Masses have been reinstated. Unfortunately, we do not know when

that will be. However, it is our intention to set the soonest reasonable date as we do not want the children to have to wait any longer. There will be a retreat on the Saturday morning preceeding the First Eucharist weekend. In the meantime, please help your child complete their sacramental preparation workbooks and watch your emails for additional information.

CONFIRMATION UPDATEAt this time Bishop Noonan is hoping to keep to his original Confirmation schedule for May and June. Therefore we are still working on the assumption that the sacrament of Confirmation will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. There will be an overview session prior, as well as the Morning of Reflection/Rehearsal on the morning of June 6th. Please watch your emails and future e-Bulletins for any updates.

LENTEN PROJECT: LIFE CHOICES MEDICAL CLINICWatch Tina Stafstrom, Executive Director, of Life Choices Medical Clinic as she shares about our Lenten Project at https://youtu.be/IsbduS53QcA. Life Choices Medical Clinic is a non-profit facility that provides support for women facing unplanned pregnancies. They believe all life is valuable and exist to save the lives of unborn children, minister medically, emotionally and spiritually to the parents and touch each life with the love of Christ. Nativity parishioner Norma Stives was one of the original founders.

EASTER FLOWERS NEEDED!In this time of isolation, we continue to look for new ways to connect and reaffirm our togetherness as the Body of Christ. As we prepare to celebrate Easter, we look for signs of hope and new life in the resurrection. Since you cannot physically be present in the Church for that celebration, we invite you to bring your own sign of hope in the form of an Easter lily, fern, or pastel mum that we will place in the sanctuary as we celebrate Mass at 10:00 am on Easter Sunday via Live Stream.

If you would like to participate, please leave your plant in the covered area at the front entrance of the church on Thursday, April 9, between 10 am and noon. Don’t forget to maintain social distance. Church staff will collect the plants at noon and place them around the altar. Each flower and plant will be a sign of our togetherness as a parish family - new life, hope, and belief in the resurrection. Thank you.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION IS BACKThe Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday continues! This Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., following the 8:30 a.m. daily Mass, I will be available for confessions. As confessions must be done in person and not by phone or text or email or online, we will meet at a safe social distance. I will be in the shade in front of the Chapel area.
