Breakfast with Santa

Have you saved the date for Breakfast with Santa? This annual famous, fun family event will be held on Sunday, December 3rd,2017, in the Colonnade Room. Sponsored by both the CWO and the Men’s Club, Breakfast with Santa offers a delicious pancake breakfast, crafts for the kids, holiday raffles, and of course, a visit with Santa Claus. The CWO is in need of prizes for the instant “Santa’s Raffle” for children. New toys, games or other children’s items would be greatly appreciated. 2nd Annual Christkindlmarket Bus Trip November 30, 2017

Last year’s CWO Christkindlmarket trip had such positive response that we are inviting all parishioners and friends again to experience a traditional German Christmas holiday market with all the sights, sounds, scents and wonder of the season at the Naper Settlement Christkindlmarket. This year’s trip will be on Thursday, November 30th, 2017. Transportation will be by bus, and the price of transportation will be determined by the number of participants. The bus will board at the rectory at 10:00 AM and will return by 3:00 PM. Shop for handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts from Germany and Europe. Enjoy German food and drink in a winter wonderland setting. Teen Club Due to the craft fair and Thanksgiving weekend, there will be no Teen Club or open gym until December.

Youth Ministry Board Meeting If you are interested in helping plan activities for junior and senior high school students in our parish, attend our next board meeting at 6:30 on December 1. Enter the Raymond doors.

Bible Breakfast Some of our St. Louise youth will lead a discussion of the readings for the Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time over continental breakfast following the 9:30 Mass this weekend. Bible Breakfast is open to parishioners of every age; join us!

Just5Days Middle School Service Trip St. Louise de Marillac Parish is very excited to again be participating in the Just5Days program this summer, a summer service program designed just for middle schoolers in grades 7-9 (next school year). If you did not make it to the meeting and are interested, please contact Karyn Miller.

Christmas Lock-In Our annual Christmas Lock-In will be December 27-28. Theme and details will be announced the first week of December! Watch for it!

The CWO and Girl Scouts are hosting their Annual Coat Drive. Specially marked boxes will be located in the back of church and outside the school office for your donations. Please only donate gently worn and clean coats. We can accept hats, scarves and gloves at this time as well. Other items can be placed in the St Vincent de Paul box outside the Colonnade Room doors.
