As part of the Conference, we will also be saying farewell to Fr Paul Pidcock, sm. Fr Pidcock has long been a presence at Woodlawn College and also a wonderful support to our Diocese. Fr Paul will be moving to Sydney to the Marist Community for his retirement and we thank him for all he has done. God bless. Church Maintenance Last weekend a crane was used to spray the exterior of the church in order to remove the ferns growing in the brick- work. At the same time, it was also identified that the concrete crosses on the apex of the church roof have suffered significant damage either through lightning or the sea air and pose a risk. Some remedial work has already been car- ried out to make them safe for the time being however the crosses will need to be replaced and work is underway. Fr Paul Gooley, Parish Priest

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As the Year of Youth draws to a close our Parish
'Be the 7' focus for November is CREATORS.
CREATORS are those who evangelise using their
gifts and talents through music, art, dance or word!
CREATORS inspire others through the beauty
they create. Unafraid to use their talents, they ex-press God's love through their skill talent and gifts. Beauty can lead people back to God. The
world needs CREATORS! If you know a CREATOR remember to tell them
how much you appreciate them.
If you are a CREATOR keep on sharing your beau-
ty with the world! If you've never had a go at creating something now is your time!
“Fear not that thy life shall come to an end, but rather that it shall never
have a beginning.”
“A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one
could find fault.”
A Prayer for the 100 Year Anniversary of Armistice Day (11 November)
God of peace you call us to peace, Peace within and peace without,
Peace before us and peace behind us, Peace on our right and peace on our left.
Christ of Peace you call us to peace,
Peace with our brother and with our sister, Peace with our neighbour and with the stranger,
Peace with friends and with foes.
Spirit of peace you call us to peace, Peace in work and in play,
Peace in thought and in deed, Peace in word and action.
Grant us peace, O God of peace.
