One of the fastest-growing types of digital technologies, and a key element of mobile, is the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT increasingly is being recognized by Canadian executives for its potential to help companies find growth in unexpected ways.
89% say it will have a major impact on their industry

prominently by helping them create new products, add service offerings to their
existing product lines, and transform the company’s entire portfolio to offer both new
services and products
73% think it will help their company expand its enterprise
ecosystem and technology partnerships
94% say their company is either evaluating or actively using the IoT and connected products
Like their global counterparts, many Canadian executives believe their companies are well on their way toward capitalizing on the IoT. However, in most cases, Canadian companies trail the global average in having key capabilities in place, and in a few instances, they rank dead last among all the countries in our survey.
