Leviton Architectural Edition Powered by JBLAs part of its introduction of five products in its Levi-ton Architectural Edition (LAE) architectural speaker

line, Leviton has introduced the LAEAW, its new Indoor/Outdoor All Weather Loudspeaker. The model features gold-plated binding posts that are ideal for outdoor, utility, commercial, indoor pool, atrium, and other large space applications, the company says. introduced to American dealers at CEDIA 2016, and to European deal-ers at ISE 2017. NEAR states the 7XL is rated to deliver 700 watts per channel of power and the 3XL is rated to produce 350 watts per chan-nel. tions. Its CS500 outdoor speaker addresses outdoor installations through its weatherproof design. PSB points out the speaker features five-way binding posts, along with rubber covers for the terminals. The speaker rotates 90 degrees in one plane, and 170 degrees in the second plane. Through optional hardware provisions, Terra says dealers can install modular AC Five-based soundbars for outdoor A/V systems, and mini line arrays for more complex installa-tions. TruAudio Acoustiscape SpeakersTruAudio says the Acoustiscape is engi-neered to streamline the selection of outdoor speakers by providing electron-ics professionals with a speaker product that switches between 8-ohm operation and 70-volt. Dealers can switch the unit from 70-volt to 8-ohm via a switch that is located on the rear of the speaker.

TruAudio adds that installers can set the speaker up to operate in its 8-ohm mode to cover small spaces. Available in two versions — the OD26 and the OD25 — both models utilize two-way designs, and more specifically, the OD26 features a carbon fiber 6.5-inch woofer and a titanium tweeter, while the OD25 incorporates a 5.25-inch carbon fiber woofer and titanium tweeter.
