From the Pastor’s Desk
St. Peter Claver, Priest (1581-1654) –
Quote: Peter Claver understood that
concrete service like the distributing of
medicine, food and brandy to his Negro
brothers and sisters could be as effective a
communication of the Word of God as was
mere verbal preaching. As Peter Claver
would often say, “We must speak to them
with our hands, before we speak to them
with our lips.” The Holy Spirit might and
power manifested in the striking decisions
and bold actions of St. Peter Claver during
the 40 years of his ministry, St. Peter Claver
baptized an estimated of 300,000 slaves.
Happy Feast Day to all the Knights of St.
Peter Claver!! May his prayers help us to
speak with hands, before we speak with
our lips. Have a blessed time and may the
Spirit of St. Peter Claver continue to guide
us in our good mission.

Meeting on Tuesday. The day will be
announced later on. Have a Blessed time!
