The Barrie Primary Care Campus is adjacent to the 200 acre Park Place open air shopping experience which includes commercial and office space and a 22 acre park dedicated to the residents of Barrie. The Barrie Primary Care Campus is located one block from the soon to be built overpass and direct connection to Highway 400 from Big Bay Point Road. On completion Big Bay Point Road is expected to be one of the busiest streets in greater Barrie.

The Barrie Primary Care Campus is being erected on a 5.5 acre land site centrally located at 370 Bayview Drive in the heart of south Barrie. Home for the Barrie and Community FHT The project is designed to be the leading primary healthcare facility in Ontario that will attract a broad range of healthcare professions, support services, and allied healthcare providers in a campus environment.

The Barrie and Community Family Health Team has a vision to create a leading edge, quality driven, proactive primary health care community, which focuses on improved access to care, quality of care, patient safety and patient empowerment. The Barrie and Community Family Health Team is developing the Barrie Community Health Link and is in the initial stages of implementing this initiative throughout the City of Barrie and surrounding areas.

The Barrie Community Health Link (BCHL) is one of the province’s early adopter of Health Link and is one of five Health Links located in the North Simcoe Muskoka (NSM) Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). The BCHL catchment area covers the city of Barrie and surrounding area which represents a population of approximately 250,000. The Barrie and Community Family Health Team is the lead organization for the BCHL.
