The ETh 50 provides a high quality all round theodolite for routine measurements in and around the construction site. Angle measurement—the easy way Electronic scanning of the horizontal and vertical circles, with continuous digital display of results, considerably speeds up the measurement process, and eliminates reading and estimation errors. Angle control at the press of a button The ETh 50 provides automatic control over standard theodolite functions: Clockwise and counter-clockwise angle measurement. Zero setting of the horizontal angle in any direction. Setting the horizontal circle to a predefined bearing. Conversion of the vertical angle to percentage grade. Definition of the zero direction of the vertical angle system, covering a variety of conventions and applications including: zenith angle, vertical angle, elevation angle, and % slope. All measurement units supported The ETh 50 displays data in all international measurement units, and it allows you to select the resolution: Measurement system units: 360 DMS, 360 Decimal, 400 Grads/Gon, 6400 mils. Display resolution: from 1" (0.3mgon), 5" (1.5mgon), to 10" (3 mgon). Operating convenience The ETh 50 has a clear keyboard layout with just seven keys for the control of all measuring functions. The clearly arranged four-line display is 24 characters wide and it provides simultaneous display of all measurement results, as well as the options provided by the function keys. The display and reticle are illuminated, providing easy operation in poor conditions or darkness. A minimum sighting distance of only 0.80m (2.62ft) ensures reliable results even in confined spaces. Measuring accuracy and reliablility The ETh 50 provides automatic correction for errors associated with traditional theodolites, delivering accurate results with fewer observations. Errors eliminated include: Sighting axis error, Index error, and Collimation error For classical angle measurements, setting out right angles, plumbing and alignment measurements.
