method and operation steps of BTS3703.
In the second chapter, we mainly introduced data configuration
online step by step, which include R1 interface and R6 interface.
In the third chapter, we discuss some trouble shouting method for
the test acceptance and debugging, which could be a guide for the
field engineers.

Telnet the system, upgrading by CLI, also called Command Line upgrading.
The IP address of telnet is the service port’s IP address in BTS3703.
Check the compatibility between current and upgrading versions.

3.Use the command of upLoad, backup the configration files into the folder

First 0 means 0 and default value is 0
Second 0 means BBU, 1 means 1 RRU

RRU reboot automatically. In rebooting, RRU will download new version
software automatically.

The Management of Configuration Files (Optional)
MSUCORE.BIN is packed with many files, Including configuration file(DB0.DB2), rename
the filename from DB0.DB2 to DB1.DB2 before loading.
To change configuration in batch, it is supported to switch between active and standby
configuration.
1. Get into system view.
<himax>sys
2. Configure FTP server.
[himax] ftp-server set server-ip 192.168.0.22 user-name idu pass-word idu
Notes: Server ip is host’s ip. User name and password are same with server.
3. Execute the “Load” command.
[himax]load 0 0 content 10
4. Activate standby configuration.
[himax]active configuration 0
System will reset automatically after successful activating.
5. If there is no DB configuration offline, you will configure all the data as follows.

Data Configuration is: when the hardware installation 、 software installation and
upgrade finished, we do some Configuration to the base station so that the base
station can be put into use according to the design request
Data Configuration has two types : local and remote
local : we connect the testing PC to the BBU debugging network port, then we do
the Data Configuration by CLI ( Command Line Interface ) through super
terminal or telnet
remote : telnet the GE port of BTS3703.The way of Configuration is also by the
CLI.

Before data configuration, we need to set all the configuration data.
Include : R1 air interface: BTS3703 air parameters
R6 Interface: Parameters between BTS3703 and ASN-GW (WASN9770)

Configuration Item Description
Frequency point For BBU three sectors. 2.49-2.60; 2.53-2.64;2.58-2.69 (GHz)
Permbase ID of dl-lst-permutation-base must be equal to IDCELL.
Sector-Id ID of sector, interrelated to ID of site. How to calculate it, please refer to BSID.
Operator-id ID of operator, in order to distinguish different operators and can be configured at random nowadays.
Site-id ID of site and the range is between 0 and 65535.
Site-name Name of site and the length is not beyond 32 characters.
Transmit mode The mode employed for transmission. Now uses TDD mode.
Networking mode It is the mode of the physical network to see the virtual network. Now only supports PUSC 1/3 and PUSC with all.
IP Distribution of the whole network
Negotiation with customers.
Bandwidth Now Huawei provides two types, just as 5MHz and 10MHz.

data 。 Ethernet 0/0/1 just be the Operation port
For example: we want to modify the Operation port IP to be 192.168.8.6, the
mask is 255.255.255.0
If we had set the Operation port IP already, we must delete the primary ip before
the modification

Step1:Configure Basic Information
1. Configure system time: In order to do the troubleshooting, it is important to configure system time
and time zone correctly.
Configure the time zone.

Nam indicates the time zone name and contains 1 to 32 characters.

2.Setup site information : Identify a site. Eg: If a site named lab is added with site id 0.
Use the command display site all to query the site information.
Please note: There is a relation between site id and sector id. If you want to
delete one site, you have to delete the sector first.

Step2:Configure system clock
Configuration items of the system clock include the reference clock source,
working mode (phase locked or phase unlocked), and initial DA value. Configuring the Reference Clock Source
The Work Mode of the System Clock
Notes: It is not suggested to change the DA value. It has the default value. You
can query it first and decide whether to change it or not.

Step3:Configure Carrier
1.The basic parameters of carrier, operator-Id, dl-seg-no, central-freq, cell-
radius, odu-slot. The carrier to be modified must exist. Parameters of carrier can be modified only when the carrier is deactivated. ; The central frequency on the BBU must be set based on the frequency band
supported by the RRU ; Operator-Id is provided by the customers. Dl-seg-no is corresponding to the Sector ID.
For example:to modify the central frequency point, run the following command in air

For example, modify a S1/1 site

NextHopIp depends on the networking mode. It can be identical with the IP address of the
LPU that is connected with the BBU, but it must be different from GatewayIp. If the BBU
connects with the ASN-GW through a router, NextHopIp is IP address of the router ; .

Network Management configuration is to configure M2000 information
at the BTS side. 1. Configure community names
For Example:To configure the SNMP community names for reading and writing, run
the following commands in system view and the community name is pubv1.

2. Configure TRAP-Based Subscription For Example:10.121.71.220 is the IP address of the M2000 server, 162 is the fixed
port number, pubv1 is the community name, and v2c is the version number.
After configuring community names and trap-based subscription, please return to
common mode and run save command to keep it in effect.
