1. Applications are invited for apprentice Training in this organisation under Apprentice Act-1961. A panel for 121 trainees in the following trades will be made. Number of Apprentice seats can be changed according to need. Particulars of trade & their seats, communal reservations, educational & technical qualification are as under.

Note:- A. Communal reservation for SC 15%, ST-7.5% and OBC 27% have been made in terms of Rly Bd's letter's no :- E(MPP)2002/6/10 Dated-17.06.2011

B. In the notified Trades reservation for Physically Handicapped will be 03% (Authority:- Rly Bd's letter no- E(MPP)2005/6/11 dtd-15.05.2006C. In the notified Trade reservation for Ex-serviceman, Armed force Personnel & their dependent children will be -03% as per Rly Bd's letter no:- E(MPP)2002/6/10 dtd-31.07.2006

1. Educational Qualification:-(i) The above technical & educational qualification are according to Rly Bd's letter no-E(MPP)/90/6/5 dated:-22.07.2002. Candidates should be passed matriculation or high school exam under 10+2 education system or its equivalent these qualification should be possessed up to 01.07.2013. Appearing candidates in the above exam do not apply. Those candidates can apply who have possessed/ received certificate and marks sheet of the above exam. No weitage will be given for higher educational qualification. (ii) * The above reservation have been made on the basis of Rly Bd's letter no-E(MPP) 2002/6/10 dated-31.12.2002 & Rule-5 schedule II A of Apprentices rules-1991. In the non availability of the requisite number of OBC candidates remaining seat will be filled up by the general candidate.2.Training2 (i)selected candidates for training an Apprenticeship contract will be executed between the Apprentice and employer. The apprenticeship contract or agreement should be registered in RDAT/ Kanpur within three months. All conditions of this contract / Agreement will be complied by the candidates. (Authority:- Rly Bd's letter No-E(MPP)2001/6/8 dtd-28.09.2001)2 (ii)All terms & conditions as contained in Rly Bd's M.C.no- 08/2002 dtd-22.07.2002 and Instructor's order as well as the condition of Apprenticeship contract will have to be accepted by trainees.

2 (iii)Training periods of welder & Crane Operator will be two years and for other trades will be 03 years.

2 (iv)Stipend :- In terms of Rly Bd's letter no-E(MPP)2007/6/3 dtd-09.03.2011 Stipend are payable to apprentices in the training period as under:-

2 (v)It is cleared that after completion of training period Indian Railways and DLW are not to bound to provide employment to Apprentices. According to Apprentices Ruls-1992 (notified on 15.07.92) schedule V(ii) para 10 Government / Administration are not responsible to provide employment to the trained Apprentices. Candidates are advised to note this provision.

3.Age of the candidate:- Should be as on 01.01.2014

3 (i)Non ITI candidates should have completed 15 years of age & should not have completed 22 years of age. ITI candidates in the notified /relevant trade should have completed 15 years of age & should not have completed 24 years of age.(Authority - Rly Boards letter no - E(MPP)2001/6/7 dated - 01.12.2008) But in welder (Gas & Elect.) trade age limit will be 15 years to 22 years for ITI passed candidate.( Authority- Rly Boards letter no- E(MPP) 2001/6/7 dated - 28.10.2010 )3 (ii)The upper age will be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 03 years for OBC candidates.

4. How to Apply :-

4 (i)Applications will be accepted on the prescribed formats as attached at Annexure. According to this format should apply on A-4 size plane paper. Self attested recent colour photograph should be pasted on the application form. Photo should not be foggy & mixing signature on the photo should be made in this way that it should half on the photo & half on the application form. In the column of educational qualification candidate mention clearly his present possessing educational qualification. In addiction to this, candidate should be mentioned clearly which minimum educational qualification possess as per notification like as 10th class passed under10+2 education system (with science subject physics, chemistry and math) or its equivalent. If possessed ITI then clearly mention trade. Two passport size recent colour photographs should be attached with the application form. Scanned photo will not be accepted. Copies of all certificates as indicated in the application form i.e birth certificate/ educational and technical certificate /caste certificate etc should be duly attested by the Gazetted officer and it will be submitted by the Trainees before joining for the training.

At the time of verification of certificate by original if it is found the requisite qualification as on 01.07.2013 has not possessed by the candidate, their candidature will be cancelled. Caste certificate should be issued by the competent authority. Handicapped certificate (the disability certificate be accepted which has been issued by a medical board duly constituted by the central /state Government) consisting of at least three members out of which at least one member has been / should be a specialist in the relevant field for assessing locomotor/ cerebral/ visual/hearing disability as the case may be. Certificate related for Ex-serviceman

Relationship certificate for children of Ex-servicemen should be issued by the concerning military officers which may be attached with the Application form.

4 (ii)Processing fee : A sum of Rs.100/- in the form of crossed Indian postal order /Bank draft or cash receipt deposited in the cash office will be accepted for General & OBC's candidate. Fees will be payable in favour of FA&CAO DLW/Varanasi. Bank Draft/IPO/Cash receipt should be attached with the application form. No fees are Payable for SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, minority, Ex-servicemen & Women candidate.

4 (iii)for training one candidates will fill up one application form. Application can be cancelled if it is found more than one application form of one candidate.4(iv) Dependency certificate for serving Rly employee under pass rule as stated in column - 13 of the application form is to be verified by the pass issuing authority . Such applications on which candidate has stated for dependency but it has not been verified by the pass issuing authority will not be accepted.

5.Enclosure of documents :- Copies of all documents i.e Birth, educational & Technical, caste, Relationship certificates, physically handicapped certificate and registration card of employment exchange Varanasi etc duly attested by the Gazetted Officer along with the paper of processing fee will be attached with the application form.

6.Registration in Employment Exchange:- All candidates should be registered in employment exchange Varanasi up to 01.07.2013 except dependant candidates of serving Rly employee (under Rly servant Pass Rule-1986) No application form of registered candidates will be accepted beyond the cut of date i.e 01.07.2013.

No registration will be accepted other than Varanasi employment exchange.

7.Submission of Application :-

(i)Dependant candidates of servicing Rly employee (who are entitled to receive pass under Rly servant Pass Rules-1986) In the Box kept in GM/P's office DLW

8. Last date of application:- Application should be submitted in the employment exchange Varanasi in this way so that it may be forwarded by employment exchange office to GM/P DLW on dated 15.10.2013 time 16.45 hrs or its before. After due date 15.10.2013 time 16.45 hrs no application will be accepted/ considered & no information will be given about such application.

9. Mode of Selection: - For selection one written examination will be held. In which objective type question will be from general knowledge, general math, reasoning & general science. Answer will be given on OMR sheet by the candidate.10. Reason for Cancellation of Application

11. Other conditions:-

11(i)In addition to the above reason for cancellation of the applications as stated in Para-10. DLW has reserved authority to reject any application without assigning any reason. Any particulars/ information's/ certificates as stated in the application form by the candidate, if it is found incorrect/ forge than their candidature will be cancelled without giving any notice.11 (ii)Any type of recommendation doing by the candidate, their candidature will be cancelled.11 (iii)No TA/DA will given to the candidate for appearing in the examination.
