Scanning

Position the foot so that it is in the center of the small white box on the screen. The scanner will color anything that is in the target area red. Once the plantar surface of the foot is colored touch the “Start” button. **It is OK if other surfaces are highlighted (like the exam chair). This actually improves the image and is recommended.

Push Start to begin scanning, the foot will begin to be covered in plaster. MOVE SLOWLY AND KEEP THE SCANNER POINTED AT THE FOOT SO THAT IT WILL NOT LOSE TRACKING.

Move slowly to the sides of the foot so that the camera can capture the lateral and medial aspects of the foot. You will see the image fill in with plaster. Once the plaster has been applied to the entire plantar, medial and lateral aspects of the foot, touch the done button. If you lose tracking and need to start over, touch the reset button on the top right of the scan button.

If the image turns red while scanning you are too close. step back and the image will continue to fill in with plaster.

Once the scan is completed a 3D image of the foot is displayed. Make sure the image has captured the entire plantar surface of the foot, also make sure there is good data on the lateral and medial side.

Click the “Save” button in the top right corner to continue.

Completed Scan

Neutral Position (optional)Have the Doctor place the foot in neutral position and begin the scan. Ensure that the plantar surface of the foot is still visible and not covered by the Doctor’s hands.

The Doctors hands will also be scanned in the 3D image, this is expected and will not cause any problems in the creation of the orthotic.

Choose your device category, and then select a device type. Lab standards for each device are listed on the right side of the screen.

If you wish to make additional changes to the orthotics you can select one of these categories** The orthotics will already come with predetermined lab standards. Selecting additional modifications is not necessary.

To make changes in the modification categories, check the boxes or fill in the blank spaces. These changes will transfer onto a completed prescription form.

The Order Summary page is the final page before placing your order. On this page you have two options. Confirm & Send Order – The order is sent to the lab and will ship back to your office within 5 to 7 business days.Save For Later – The scan is saved for later. You can access saved scans by clicking on the Saved Scans button on the home page.
