Aonghus Fraser (Chairman) Chief Executive Officer Atam ID TechnologiesGus is a technology evangelist and leader with broad experience from his 20 years in senior roles as Chief Technology Officer for a number of organisations from bootstrapped startups to enterprise consultancy organisations. With a “Change the world” attitude, he is CEO of Atam ID Technologies leveraging cutting-edge biometric and blockchain technologies for identity use cases including KYC & CDD, and also holds a number of advisory positions at fintech companies and other startups. He is a regular speaker at conferences on various topics including IoT, Identity, Cybersecurity and Blockchain technologies and is frequently asked to write for publications.

Andrew Tannenbaum (Keynote speaker) Chief Cybersecurity Counsel IBMAs IBM’s Chief Cybersecurity Counsel, Andrew is the founder and leader of a global legal team that guides the company on a wide range of cybsersecurity legal, policy, and investigative matters.Andrew is a recognized thought-leader in cybersecurity. In 2016, Andrew was named by the National Law Journal as a Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer. He is a regular speaker at cybersecurity events, has testified before Congress as an expert on cybersecurity law, and has written for and appeared in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, National Journal, Politico, and CSO. Before joining IBM, Andrew held several senior national security positions during both the Obama and Bush administrations, including Deputy General Counsel of the National Security Agency, and Deputy Director in the Department of Justice’s National Security Division. Andrew was also a litigator at the Justice Department and the New York law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Robert Clark (Keynote speaker) Professor of Cyber Law & Policy U.S. GovernmentRobert Clark’s cyber law and policy career spans several government organisations having him involved in cyber issues from the Army to the National Security Council. He has held the following positions: Cyber Operational Lawyer, Army Cyber Command and Army Cyber Institute for the United States Military Academy; Distinguished Professor of Law (Cyber) at the United States Naval Academy; Cybersecurity Information Oversight & Compliance Officer at the DHS, Office of Cybersecurity and Communications; Legal Advisor to the Navy CIO, United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team; and the Army’s Computer Emergency Response Team. In these positions he has provided advice on all aspects of full-spectrum cyberspace operations. He interacts regularly with numerous government agencies and is a past lecturer on many cyber legal issues, such as hacking back and encryption, at FS-ISAC; Palo Alto Ignite; SC Congress; Black Hat; DEFCON; and AusCERT. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan; his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law; and his LL.M from the Judge Advocate General’s School, United States Army.

Ricky Magalhaes Director of Cyber Security Logicalis JerseyRicky Magalhaes is an international cybersecurity expert, evangelist and strategist. Ricky has been practising for the past 20+ years, working with the world’s leading brands. Ricky sold his cyber security company in 2005 and joined the leadership of a large SI in the UK which was sold to the Datatec group (Logicalis) in February 2012. Ricky leads the security division at Logicalis and is responsible for building, together with the leadership team, the strategy for the European cybersecurity operations.Ricky is on multiple advisory boards for cybersecurity vendors, customers and cybersecurity industry bodies and periodically works with leading analyst firms to help devise strategy and advise on cyber security.He is a seasoned cybersecurity data protection architect and cyber expert and has trained government intelligence agencies and a myriad of other related governmental agencies on various information security disciplines. Ricky speaks at national and international embassies and conferences on behalf of cyber software vendors.

Meet the speakers

Simon Cubitt Head of Cybercrime, HMRC Fraud Investigation Service HM Revenue & Customs Simon leads the Cybercrime Team within HMRC’s Fraud Investigation Service, which provides insight into cybercrime threats through the investigation of online criminal attacks. A graduate in cybernetics, Simon’s career began in applied research, developing advanced technology to support policing. He joined and went on to lead a specialist team in national law enforcement, developing and employing tools and techniques to gather critical digital evidence in serious organised crime investigations. Today he is investigating cybercriminals, articulating risk to the Board, and guiding developers of the UK Government’s largest online service. Simon has an MSc in Forensic Computing & Cybercrime Investigation, CISSP, GCIH, GWAPT, GREM certifications and a keen sense of justice.

Damon Greber Director Advisory Services BDO Limited Damon has over 17 years’ experience in Technology Risk and Assurance as well as Internal Audit. He has lead the global IT external audit of an investment bank, acted as Head of IT internal audit for two retail banks as well as managed the delivery of Service Organisation Controls Reports. He was Head of Internal Audit for a significant Hedge Fund Manager. He has also performed Cyber Security Maturity Assessments, advised on Cyber Security Governance and reviewed Business Continuity arrangements for a varied client base.

Charlotte Valeur Managing Director Global Governance Group Charlotte has more than 30 years of experience in financial markets and is the Managing Director of GGG Ltd, a governance consultancy. She currently serves as a non-executive director on a number of boards of listed and unlisted companies, including chairing Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate and Blackstone/GSO Loan Financing.Charlotte worked in London as a Director in Capital Markets at Warburg, BNP Paribas, Societe Generale and Commerzbank, beginning her career in Copenhagen with Nordea A/S. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and is regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.

Dan Sloshberg Product Marketing Manager Mimecast Dan joined Mimecast in December 2013 and is responsible for uncovering deep customer and market insight to help build and bring to market compelling products and services that address key customer needs.Dan works closely with product, sales, customer advocacy and the wider marketing team to effectively position and communicate the value of Mimecast’s email security and cyber resilience services.Dan holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree and prior to joining Mimecast, he held several global marketing roles at BlackBerry. Over his 15+ years in the technology industry, Dan has worked for both established and startup organisations across software, services and hardware, in a variety of marketing and sales roles, while based in the UK and Australia.

Ben Curson Partner CNC CommunicationsBen Curson is a Partner at CNC in London.He is a senior corporate issues and crisis management consultant, with long-standing experience in communications across a wide range of sectors and geographies. He has particular experience of working with global businesses and coordinating communications work across multiple markets. He provides strategic counsel to senior executives of UK and global companies and institutions, and leads CNC’s crisis and cyber work. Having worked as a broadcast journalist and press officer at the Co-operative Group, Ben has subsequently spent most of his career in consultancy, firstly as a Partner at Penrose Financial and then as Group Managing Director at H+K Strategies in London. Prior to joining CNC, Ben was Managing Partner at Instinctif Partners responsible for the Corporate and Financial Services teams. Ben is a regular speaker at conferences and events on cyber communications issues.
