Along with Ashbacher Angus and Kopper LC Red Angus we would like to welcome you to the 3rd annual Tradition Bull Sale and thank you for your support in the past.

At McKeary Charolais we strive to maintain a herd that continually produces calves with calm dispositions. Our animals exhibit thick hair coats, solid confirmation; our females are designed for milk production and sustainability. Our herd sires are selected on easy doing, good footed, with performance for the big calves in the fall. We are very proud to offer a consistent and uniform pen of bulls that will be able to go out and work producing calves for the strong agriculture market.

In the fall we increased our cow herd with plans to offer more two year old bulls for our subsequent sales with hopes to meet our buyers’ needs. You will notice that we have a few two year olds in the sale this year; these are calves that were born late and have been kept back for this year’s sale.

The bulls are on a Landmark feed ration, which is formulated by Owen Severtson. This ration has been formulated specially for our bulls. This ration ensures that the bulls can remain in your herd working for you for years to come, not just a year or two.

Tim Bullick (403)350-9858 and Larry Toner (306)834-7652 are also available for you to contact regarding any questions you have about our bull pen or if you are unable to make it sale day one of them can meet your needs.

This is a high performance bull as he weighed 1400 lbs Dec 6th. He is out of a very Prolific cow that has 6 different daughters in production at different herds all across Canada she produces performance offspring and Cobra is no exception he is very long bodied with loads of hair. He is a big powerful bull that will cover lots of cows. He is leptin tested as a TT and also the highest in all leptin tests .

What a STOUT BUTTED BULL, This is a bull we bought last year to clean up on our purebred females, He has exceeded our expectation he is such a thick topped, easy fleshing, keeps his condition throughout the summer so well. The Landmark sired cattle have swept the charolais breed by storm they are adding so much muscle expression and thickness. When I was hunting around last year for a land mark son Yardstick was the best footed bull I found and wow he is a great footed bull. This is one heck of a bull that will sure sire those big topped eye appealing calves that everyone loves so much.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque. Settlement to be made immediately after completion of the sale, payable at par to Bow Slope Shipping Association. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerk before any cattle will be released.

Bidding: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. No by-bidding will be permitted.

Disputes: Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

Announcements: All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to such disclosures.

Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the breed association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk and the seller and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur.

Breeder’s Guarantee: The following extracts from the rules and regulations governing this sale be of special interest to those purchasing breeding stock.

“If in the opinion of the buyer an animal proves to be a non-breeder, he must notify Bow Slope Shipping Assoc. within two months after the date of the sale. When an animal is proven by a veterinarian to be a non-breeder, the contributor agrees to refund the purchase price in full providing the bull is returned to the contributor in good physical condition, or to supply the purchaser with an animal of approximately equal age, quality and breeding. In either case, the non-breeding animal is to be returned to the contributor, and the purchaser is responsible for all transportation and veterinary charges incurred. The contributor is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies, nor the sickness not apparent at the time of the sale.”

“It is to be clearly understood that Bow Slope Shipping Association is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations.”

Insurance: Insurance will be available at the buyer’s request. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.
