Certified Fire Inspector (CFI) Training

Credibility with your employers, your peers, and the public you serve is essential to success as a fire inspector. As the codes and standards developer and publisher, NFPA® offers the CFI Certification to signify you have the experience, education, and knowledge it takes to handle the responsibilities of your job. This in-depth four-day classroom training is designed to help you prepare to take the CFI-I Certification Exam, which is offered on Day 5. The NFPA Fire Inspector I Certification is now Pro Board recognized.

Based on the job requirements in the 2014 edition of NFPA 1031: Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner, the program covers some of the most important requirements associated with your work. Expert-led instruction addresses code rules governing fire alarm and suppression systems, as well as the safe storage, handling, and use of flammable and combustible liquids and gases, and hazardous materials.
