Three hundred residents are serving as temporary fulltime jobs for 3 years. 7301 employees, nurses and technicians are serving as permanent full time job in the hospitals.

Our faculty has a great number of highly qualified professional teaching staff.

This qualification is a result of the continuous training courses, in English as a language, teaching, computer, statistics and communication skills. Those courses are obligatory for junior staff members. The faculty has established the Medical Education Center that considers the improvement in the teaching staff competencies in teaching and student assessments as one of its main tasks. In addition the University bylaws have established the quality unit in the faculty to assure the high quality of the education processes in the faculty.

The faculty members should continue their scholar productivity through the supervision of the Master and Medical Doctoral degrees and through conducting research for getting assistant professor and professor positions.

The scientific departments have integrated and coherent research plans about pollution and schistosomiasis.

Research freedom and creativity of staff members have been achieved by the commitment of staff members to the faculty research plan in 70% of their researches, and the remaining 30% is to achieve research freedom and creativity of faculty staff members.

Our ongoing strategy research plan for the next decade (2010-2019) focuses on disease mapping of Sharqia governorate, {phase I (2010-2012)] 50% 0f research -phase II (2013-2015) 30% of research- phase III 2016 – 2018 20% of research – phase IV (2019) 10 % 0F Research} , applied research with topmost priority {phase I (2010- 2012) 30% - phase II (2013-2015) 50%- phase III (2016-2018) 60%- phase IV (2019 70% 0f research }, and new overview in research (20%) annually through out the next decade (2010-2019) to maintain research freedom and creativity hand in hand with putting our health problems map to direct future research and provide makers with real properly deduced data.
