Look What We’re Learning…
Language Arts: The students will
complete the entire writing process
to write a narrative composition on
their own. We will also begin a new
set of vocabulary words. Students
will complete a Frayer model for
each word to include definitions,
synonyms, antonyms, and a
picture.
Math: The students will learn about
fractions. They will use their fraction
kit to compare and order fractions.
They will also work with equivalent
fractions.

Math Daily STAAR Quiz Friday!
In an effort to keep parents
informed, we want to provide you
with information regarding the
STAAR testing schedule. Students
will take the writing tests on April 1
and 2, the math test on April 22,
and the reading test on April 23.
As you look ahead to make any
travel plans, please keep these
dates in mind. We have high
expectations for the students and
would like to partner with you, the
parents, to make sure they are
here and mentally prepared.
Important Information
Denton ISD has provided extra time for
assignments to be turned in and graded
due to the ice storm in December. Report
cards are scheduled to go home on
January 13th, so please check your child’s
yellow folder.
