    GUIDELINES ON THE ESTABLISHMENTOF A WATCH SCHOOL

    I. Rationale

    ADVOCATING TIME CONSCIOUSNESS ANDHONESTYis a significant virtue that each individual

    should possess. For Progress, for self respect andfor respecting others time are among the goodthings we can derive if everyone is punctual andhonest. It cannot be taught but can be caught simplyby modelling the practice/habit. Awareness of the

    benefits each one will get as a WATCH implementer, itis important that a set of guidelines shall be followed

    II. OBJECTIVES

    To analyze the different measures to effectivelyinculcate the importance of honesty innation building;

    To appreciate the value of honesty as a criticalcomponent of good governance;

    To internalize the value of honesty in everyday

    life; and To give a critical mass support towards a moral

    renewal program focused on honesty

    II. OBJECTIVES

    To cherish the value of punctuality as an integral

    part of a true Filipino; and

    To identify concrete strategies that will assist

    an individual in the actualization of the value of

    punctuality in ones life.

    A. THE SCHOOL

    Any public or private elementary or secondaryschool can join/establish. It can also berural or urban school, sectarian or non-sectarian;

    A WATCH Club shall be organized as the movingbody in the school. The club shall be under the

    supervision of the Guidance Office and theValues Education Department

    B. Schools Readiness

    It is important that the principal, teachingand non-teaching staff, students and the

    GPTA are committed to be a WATCH school;

    There are sufficient instructional materials tobe utilized and teachers are trained to usethem

    C. Curriculum and Instruction

    School organs shall have a regular specialcolumn featuring students, teachers, non-

    teaching personnel who are exemplifyingHONESTY and TIME CONSCIOUSNESS.

    Involve other sectors like media, religious,LGUs for information dissemination and

    support like availability of resource materials,etc.

    D. Training

    The school principal shall include W.A.T.C.H.Program in the INSET and regular monthly

    and quarterly meetings/conferences;

    Conduct of orientation involving

    GPTCA/GPTA and SGO officers; AlternativeLearning System (ALS)

    Conduct seminar workshop to annexes of theleader schools for multiple effect; (Cluster

    Schools)

    Attending regional and divisional forum on

    WATCH; and share best practices on theimplementation of programs and projects

    E. Campaign for Advocacy

    Coordinate with GOs, LGUs NGOs onresourcing to finance participation/attending

    seminars, workshops on WATCH;

    Collaborate with ROs and DOs on theimplementation and in dealing with issuesand concerns

    Attending community assemblies conductedby the barangay where the school is located;

    Organizing core trainors ready to deliver theprogram in special groups in need of the

    program

    F. Monitoring and Evaluation

    School level a regular monitoring and

    evaluation shall be conducted by the

    committee created by the principal a

    monthly awardee shall be selected
