14 4-H Ontario | 2014 Annual Report
To the members of: Ontario 4-H Council
We have audited the accompanying financial statements of Ontario 4-H Council ("Council"), which comprise thestatement of financial position as at December 31, 2014 and the statements of operations, changes in netassets and cash flows for the year then ended, and a summary of significant accounting policies and otherexplanatory information.
Management's Responsibility for the Financial StatementsManagement is responsible for the preparation and fair presentation of these financial statements in accordancewith Canadian accounting standards for not for profit organizations and for such internal control as managementdetermines is necessary to enable the preparation of financial statements that are free from materialmisstatement, whether due to fraud or error.
Auditor's ResponsibilityOur responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our audit. We conducted ouraudit in accordance with Canadian generally accepted auditing standards. Those standards require that wecomply with ethical requirements and plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whetherthe financial statements are free from material misstatement.
An audit involves performing procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amounts and disclosures in thefinancial statements. The procedures selected depend on the auditor's judgment, including the assessment ofthe risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to fraud or error. In making those riskassessments, the auditor considers internal control relevant to the entity's preparation and fair presentation ofthe financial statements in order to design audit procedures that are appropriate in the circumstances, but notfor the purpose of expressing an opinion on the effectiveness of the entity's internal control. An audit alsoincludes evaluating the appropriateness of accounting policies used and the reasonableness of accountingestimates made by management, as well as evaluating the overall presentation of the financial statements.
We believe that the audit evidence we have obtained is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for ourqualified audit opinion.
Basis for Qualified OpinionIn common with many charitable organizations, the Council derives revenue from the general public in the formof donations, fundraising activities, membership fees and other revenues, the completeness of which is notsusceptible to satisfactory audit verification. Accordingly, our verification of these revenues was limited to theamounts recorded in the records of the Council and we were not able to determine whether any adjustments forunrecorded receipts might be necessary for these types of revenues received during the year.
Qualified OpinionIn our opinion, except for the effects of the matter described in the Basis for Qualified Opinion paragraph, thesefinancial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of Ontario 4-H Council as atDecember 31, 2014 and its financial performance and its cash flows for the year then ended in accordance withCanadian accounting standards for not for profit organizations.

Ontario 4-H Foundation
INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S REPORT
To the Board of Trustees of: Ontario 4-H Foundation
We have audited the accompanying financial statements of Ontario 4-H Foundation, which comprise thestatement of financial position as at December 31, 2014 and the statements of operations and changes innet assets and cash flows for the year then ended, and a summary of significant accounting policies andother explanatory information.
Management's Responsibility for the Financial StatementsManagement is responsible for the preparation and fair presentation of these financial statements inaccordance with Canadian accounting standards for not for profit organizations and for such internalcontrol as management determines is necessary to enable the preparation of financial statements thatare free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.
Auditor's ResponsibilityOur responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our audit. Weconducted our audit in accordance with Canadian generally accepted auditing standards. Thosestandards require that we comply with ethical requirements and plan and perform the audit to obtainreasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement.
An audit involves performing procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amounts and disclosures inthe financial statements. The procedures selected depend on the auditor's judgment, including theassessment of the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to fraud orerror. In making those risk assessments, the auditor considers internal control relevant to the entity'spreparation and fair presentation of the financial statements in order to design audit procedures that areappropriate in the circumstances, but not for the purpose of expressing an opinion on the effectiveness ofthe entity's internal control. An audit also includes evaluating the appropriateness of accounting policiesused and the reasonableness of accounting estimates made by management, as well as evaluating theoverall presentation of the financial statements.
We believe that the audit evidence we have obtained in our audit is sufficient and appropriate to provide abasis for our audit opinion.
OpinionIn our opinion, these financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position ofOntario 4-H Foundation as at December 31, 2014 and the results of its operations and its cash flows forthe year then ended in accordance with Canadian accounting standards for not for profit organizations.
