The foundation and authority of Orthodox Catholic catechesis is and always has been the Divine Liturgy of the Church. Rooted in prayer and looking to the Lord, we discover the Orthodox Faith in the face of Christ.» Rev. David E. Anderson, presenter, is a priest of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Chicago and educated at St. Vladimir Seminary, where he was a student of Fr. Alexander Schmemann. Fr. David was ordained in 1983. From before his ordination until now, he has been both a teacher and a translator of patristic and Byzantine liturgical texts. Especially known for his lectures on the early Church Fathers and the early liturgy, he also is an instructor of philosophy at Mendocino College and chaplain at Wyoming Catholic College. There will be no substitutions, no à la carte. Tickets must be purchased in advance at a cost of $12 each. Pick-up will be drive through only. Monetary donations are welcome to help defer the cost of preparing and packaging the dinners. Please use one of the “Special” envelopes in your envelope box and write Ethnic Dinner on the front. Thank you! GCU ST NICHOLAS CELEBRATION: The annual December celebration for the benefit of our Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Pittsburgh is cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to assist the Seminary, several fundraisers are planned in the coming months. As in the past, a raffle is planned with an all cash prize of $2000. The winning number will be based on the PA Lottery evening Pick 3 Number drawn on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Tickets are $10 each. If you would like to purchase a ticket, see Father. (Ticket stubs must be returned by Tuesday December 1 to be eligible for the raffle prize.)
