Models4Rios models give geographic details of the zone where the massacre of Naya took place. Thanks to augmented reality apps and audio files, the users will be able to observe and listen to important events that happen during the armed attacks

Content TriggerThe Content Trigger delivers pictures, newspaper cutouts and footage (referring to events that happened in Naya) directly to the user’s mobile devices

Interactive ComicThe users will be able to live different stories that occurred in the frame of the armed conflict in Colombia. In addition, there will be a lot of documentary content (Photographs, texts, videos and infographics) that will give the narrative to have a mix of reality and fiction.

Memory FlowGenerating spaces is a main objective of this project, which centers on the users being able to not only interact, but also build upon the story. For this purpose, an application called “Memory flow” has been designed. Through this app, the users will have the possibility of generating drawings, texts and even voice recordings that express the emotions 4 RÍOS causes within the visitors and consumers of the different contents.

Printed and EBook ComicThe printed comic version is presented with more content and an additional development of augmented Reality. The eBook narrates the stories through animation and documentary content. It also includes production notes and an integration of all the project platforms.

Short animated filmAn 11-minute short animated film has been created in which a fictional story, based on the Naya’s massacre, is told through different animation techniques.

A transmedial experience that talks about the armed conflict in Colombia.

During the last forty years, Colombia has lived through an armed conflict where civilians (rural residents, farmers and indigenous communities) have suffered the most. It is calculated that there have been around 3,000 massacres or brutal attacks against the civilian population. Many of them

have been ignored and undocumented.4 Ríos is a transmedial project that tells stories about the armed conflict in Colombia through different forms of media and platforms, making intensive use of technology and its endless

possibilities.

4 RÍOS: NAYAAn indigenous resident goes down a path where he relives the moments of the Naya massacre that occurred between the Cauca department and Valle del Cauca in 2001. In this ruthless slaughter, 500 paramilitary fighters killed more than 30

inhabitants in the region.

4 RÍOS: BOJAYÁA woman remembers her mother, who was a victim of the Bojayá massacre. In this incident, The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) fired a “cilindro bomba” (a homemade mortar assembled with gas cylinder parts) at a church that was full of civilians. More than 100 people,

including 48 children were killed.

4 RÍOS: APARTADÓThrough the eyes of a child we see the story of a family that suffers the cruelty of the armed conflict in San José de Apartadó, a small village located in the department of

Antioquia.

4 RÍOS: EL SALADOAn attacker runs away from the war in the middle of the atrocious acts committed in the El Salado massacre by the paramilitary groups. This slaughter took place in the Bolívar department (A region located in the north of Colombia)

between the 16th and 21st of February in the year 2000.
