PURPOSE OF ROTARACT
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women
to enhance the 0nowledge and s0ills that will them assist them in personal
development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities and
to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framewor0
of friendship and service.
GOALS OF ROTARACT
1. To develop professional and leadership s0ills.
!. To emphasis respect for the right of others and to promote ethical standard
and the dignity of all useful occupations.
$. To provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns
of their communities and our world./. To provide opportunities for wor0ing in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary
clubs.
. To motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.
#fter the success of interact Club for high school2age youth in the early 13456s
the RI board created Rotaract in 1347. The new organi8ation was designed to
promote responsible citi8enship and leadership potential in Club of young men
and women, aged 17 to $5. The first Rotaract Club was chartered by the Rotary

1$3,555 members in more than 4,555 Rotaract clubs in 1$3 countries. Rotaract
club emphasis the importance of individual responsibility as the basis of

provides opportunities leading to greater leadership and as programs to improve

10 WAYS TO DESTORY YOUR CLUB
1. -tay away from meetings.
!. If you come, find fault.$. (ecline officers or appointment to committees.
/. &et angry if you are not nominate or appointed.
. #fter you are named to a committee, do not attend meetings.
4. If you do come to meeting, do not spea0 until the meeting is over, and then
tell how things should be done.
B. (o not do any club wor0 if you can avoid it, and when the old reliable pitch
in to get the wor0 doneF accuse them of being busy body.
