Class hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily for a total of 5 days split into 2 consecutive weeks [Wed-Fri and Thur-Fri]

Course Description:
This course will provide 40 hours of classroom instruction meeting the criteria as established in
section 87064.2 regarding Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) Administrator
Certification requirements. The training includes the following core of knowledge content:
A. 6 hours of Laws and Regulations
B. 8 hours in Business Operations & Management, Supervision and Training of Staff
C. 4 hours of Physical and Psychosocial Needs
D. 2 hours in Permanence, Well-Being and Educational needs
E. 3 hours in Community and Support Services
F. 4 hours in Medications/Psychotropic Medications
G. 5 hours in Admission and Assessment, Retention and Non-Discrimination
H. 1 hour on the Federal Indian Child Welfare Act
I. 2 hours on Cultural Competency and Sensitivity [LGBTQI]
J. 2 hours on Non-Violent Emergency Intervention and Reporting
K. 2 hours in Safety of Foster Youth
L. 1 hour in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and Information
Please note – this class CANNOT be used for: RENEWAL of an STRTP Administrator certificate. Obtaining an Adult Residential or Elderly Residential Facility administrator certificate.

is confirmed with at least a down payment of $150 [applied towards full payment] OR full
payment of $850 either by check or credit card. In the event of cancellation due to an
unanticipated situation whereby you are not able to attend after paying the fee, you may re-
schedule your training to another date and have your payment re-applied to another class date
