Tropar of the Resurrection – Tone 6: The angelic powers were at Your tomb; and the guards became as dead men; and Mary stood by Your grave seeking Your Most Pure Body. You cap-tured hades, not being tempted by it; You came to the Virgin, granting life. Lord, Who rose from the dead, glory to You.

Tropar of the Saint – Tone 4: You stepped away from earthly vanity and re-nounced the world, heeding the Gospel you followed after Christ and living the angelic life, you arrived at the calm shel-ter of Mount Athos. From there, with the blessing of the Fathers, you came to the height of Kyiv and showed a multitude of monastics the path to the Heavenly King-dom and led them to Christ. Pray to Him, O Venerable Anthony, that He save our souls.

Then he touched their eyes, saying: According to your faith be it done to you. And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly charged them: See that no one knows it. (Мт. 4:25-5:12) Одного разу ба-гато людей ішло за Ним і з Галілеї, і з Десятимістя, і з Єрусалиму, і з Юдеї, і з Зайордання. І, побачивши натовп, Він вийшов на гору, і як сів, підійшли Його учні до Нього. І, від-кривши уста Свої, Він навчати їх став, промовляючи: Блаженні вбогі духом, бо їхнєє Царство Небесне. Блаженні засмучені, бо вони будуть утішені. Блаженні лагідні, бо землю вспадкують вони. Блаженні голодні та спрагнені правди, бо вони нагодо-вані будуть. Блаженні милостиві, бо помилувані вони будуть. Блаженні чисті серцем, бо вони будуть бачити Бога. Блаженні миротворці, бо вони синами Божими стануть. Блаженні вигнані за правду, бо їхнє Царство Небесне. Блаженні ви, як ганьбити та гнати вас будуть, і будуть облудно на вас наговорювати всяке слово ли-хе ради Мене. Радійте та веселіться, нагорода бо ваша велика на небесах! Бо так гнали й пророків, що були пе-ред вами.

when the demon had been cast out, the dumb man spoke; and the crowds mar-veled, saying: Never was anything like this seen in Israel. But the Pharisees said: He casts out demons by the prince of demons. And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their syn-agogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity.

(Mt. 4:25-5:12) At that time many people followed Him from Galilee, Decap'olis, Jerusalem, Judea and beyond the Jordan. Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain, and when He sat down His disciples came to Him. And opening His lips, He began to teach them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven! For so they persecuted the prophets who were be-fore you.

A NOTE REGARDING COMMUNION – The Holy Orthodox Church under-stands Communion to mean that we have all things in common, sharing an identical Faith, and only those who are members of the Orthodox Church and who have prepared themselves through prayer, fasting and recent confession may participate in Holy Communion. Following reception of Holy Communion, we should stay in the church until the conclusion of the Liturgy. Our fellowship begins after we venerate the Cross and receive the Blessed Bread (Antidoron - of which all may partake). If you have questions concerning the above, or if you would like to become a member of the Orthodox Church, please feel free to speak with Fr. Taras or Fr. Timothy.
