How Would This SMART Board Lesson Be Used...
- P.E. is most likely focused on the physical act of performing a sport
- Something that can be overlooked is the facts behind the sport (in this case, tennis)
How Would This SMART Board Lesson Be Used… (Continued)
- This SMART Board Lesson could allow students to learn facts and figures about the history of tennis, the rules of the game, as well as current facts about the sport today
- Implementing the Connect 4 game could allow the students to after learning the facts, test their knowledge in a more interactive and fun way
How Does This Lesson Support Universal Design...
Universal Design defined: “considers people with a wide range of characteristics in the design of all educational products and environments” (Source: http://www.washington.edu/doit/universal-design-education-principles-and-applications)
This lesson supports Universal Design because as long as a SMART Board is provided by the institution, the lesson can be taught. No race, gender, age, etc. is discriminated from learning from the Connect Board Lesson Plan and being taught the game of tennis.
