Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.

Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light.

And where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master.

Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console;

In The Garden I come to the garden alone,

while the dew is still on the roses and the voice I hear falling on my

ear the Son of God discloses. He speaks and the sound of His voice

is so sweet the birds hush their singing, and the melody, that He gave

to me within my heart is ringing. I’d stay in the garden with Him

tho’ the night around me is befalling, but He bids me go;

thro’ the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling.

(Refrain) And He walks with me and

He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own.

And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.

God’s Garden God looked around His garden

and saw an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth,

and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you,

and lifted you to rest, God’s garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering,

He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never

get well on earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough,

and the hill is hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered Peace Be Thine. It broke our hearts to lose you,

for part of us went with you, The day God called you home.

Footprints One night I dreamed a dream.

As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times,

there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way.

But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you

Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints,

It was then that I carried you."

God Hath Not Promised

God hath not promised skies always blue Flower strewn pathways, all our lives through;

God hath not promised sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God hath promised strength for the day,

Rest for the labour, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above,

Unfailing kindness, undying love. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I’m Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life's been full, I savoured much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

beauty in the everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last.

There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand,

do it now, while life remaineth- you shall rest in God's own land. When that work is all completed,

O gentlest heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls, have

mercy on the soul of thy departed servant. Be not severe in Thy

judgement but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring

flames, and do Thou O Merciful Saviour, send Thy Angels to conduct Thy departed servant

to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.

I'd like the memory of me

that I leave when life is done.

Miss Me, But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road

and the sun has set on me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room,

why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little--but not too long,

and not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared,

miss me--but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take,

and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan,

a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart,

go to the friends we know. And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
