Revision Description and Justification Please give as many details as possible about the revision, including justification for the change. This certificate is intended to prepare Human Service students with the coursework required to take the Oregon Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (ACCBO) Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I) exam. Upon completion of coursework offered in this certificate in combination with the required 1,000 hours of supervised experience, a student should be sufficiently equipped to take the CADC I exam. Recently, the (ACCBO) added an additional coursework requirement. The addition of HS 266, Case Management of Human Service Workers, will meet this new state requirement and make this certificate in line with the required coursework for student’s success in pursuing a career in Alcohol/Drug/Tobacco counseling. The total credits are increasing from 14 to 17.
