GET THE LOOK 1. Prep the hair by spritzing CATWALK ® by TIGI ® Session Series Salt Spray all over – its carefully designed formula adds body and definition to the hair, whilst controlling frizz. 2. Create a clean, center part from hairline to nape, securing the hair in two low temporary ponytails. 3. Use a paddle brush and a spray of CATWALK ® by TIGI ® Session Series Work It Hairspray to smooth hair and set the severity of the part. 4. Using pins secure one extra-long, pre-made braid (using extensions) just behind the ear and cross over the crown. Repeat with a second pre-made braid in the opposite direction, crossing over the other braid to make an “X” on top of the head. As an alternative to using a pre-made braid, after parting the hair vertically in step two, instead split the sections horizontally into thirds and use the center sections as the braids 5. Next, remove the elastics from the two ponytails and begin braiding the ends of the braids into each pony, using a three- strand technique and incorporating wefts of hair into the braid as you go to add length. 6. Secure each side with an elastic, leaving a significant amount of unbraided hair below the elastic. 7. Secure the two braids together, taking care to hide the pins and create the illusion of intertwined braids. 8. Having worked for TIGI founder and International Artistic Director, Anthony Mascolo, for over 20 years, Thomas has been instrumental in the development of the TIGI US Creative Team to become one of the most esteemed educators in the hairdressing industry. Mentored by Anthony Mascolo he was driven by his passion for education to become and has dedicated the majority of his career to sharing knowledge with other hairdressers across the globe.

12 years ago Thomas became director of the original New York academy, and is now the US Creative Director for the Americas, based at the fl agship academy in the Soho District of New York City. With his an innate ability to recognize trends, forecast future looks and inspire hairdressers Thomas plays a key role in the development of growing team members, helping them rise to their fullest potential.

With a strong interest in fashion, Thomas has

worked with many leading photographers on fashion and beauty shoots as well as creating imagery for TIGI. Highly respected for his perfect execution of hair and his understanding of shape, form and texture, Thomas heads the TIGI US Session Team at New York Fashion Weeks; interpreting the designer’s vision with clarity. His creative understanding and artistic and technical ability, has made Thomas popular with many designers. Importantly the information and trend information gained backstage at fashion shows is shared through TIGI Education seen through the perspective of TIGI and the Catwalk by TIGI brand.

As US Creative Director Thomas leads the strong US Creative Team at the TIGI Academy in New York, whilst regularly liaising with Anthony Mascolo and the London Team. He works on TIGI advertising campaigns and photographic collections as well as participating in TIGI US and Global hair shows.
