Right To Life

The Knights of Columbus will sell Right To Life lumi-

naries after the Masses on January 11 & 12, & on January 18

& 19. These luminaries are to be displayed at your home on

Wednesday, January 22, which is the date of the Supreme

Court’s ruling on Roe vs. Wade in 1973. Cost of the luminar-

ies is $1.00.

A work party will be held at 3:00 p.m. on the 22nd in

the Activity Center of the school to prepare 200 luminaries

to be displayed on Alberta Street,. Men, women, and chil-

dren are invited to work for about one hour. Please enter

the school through the north entrance. Dress warmly.

This year, our school, under the guidance of Mrs.

Flynn and Mr. DeGon, will help with the display.

Gaze upon the Lord… what does it mean to “gaze”? It is more than a glance. It is beyond looking. It is beyond seeing the obvious. It takes more than a minute. It is an act of love. Gaze upon the Lord when you read the Scriptures. Which word, which sentence holds the most meaning for you? What is it calling you to? This is how Francis prayed. He gazed upon Jesus on the cross, in the tabernacle, in prayer, and in each person he met. This week, “gaze” upon His face as you meet Him in your crosses, in your home, in Scripture, and in your neighbor.
