Proto Sample.

Proto-sample: - It is also know as developmentsample.

Purpose - Its the first sample send to the buyer to getthe idea in terms of construction, design/ sketch into

2nd proto-sample according to the buyer commentsreceived.

Purpose of Salesman Sample

To know the opinion of the store

owners whether the style would

sell in the market or not, and thedemand of that product. Helps to

book colorwise-size wise

quantities

Sales Sample

Sales Sample decides the order quantity of the style in eachdestination.

Sales samples are used by the buyer to know the customersacceptance for each style.

At which stages it needs to be sent ?

The quantity of the samples to be made varies from thebuyer to the buyer. Depending upon the customersfeedback few styles are dropped or some new styles areintroduced.

This is the last sample before order is placed.

the fit of the garments.

Refining a fit & construction

from either prototype or

salesman sample, and/or makechanges to these samples as

required in the design.

Size-set sample: - all the sizes of a particular style aremade and send to the buyer. Size set samples are usedfor checking the grading. These samples are made forthe buyer who demands for it. Three samples are made

Pre Production Sample.

Pre-production sample: -This is made after the

approval of style to be produced in bulk.

Sealer Sample

Sealer sample: -This sample is made after thepre production sample with changes (if any) orno change and sealed so that the production can

be started. It accompanies a Production package which

contains following reports

Fabric package test report. Garment package test report.

Shrinkage report.

Sample.

This is made after the approval of style to be

produced in bulk.

TOP SAMPLE

During the production is going on Buyer would

like to see whether the bulk pieces are coming

out alright or not, whether the quality &

construction is matching as per sealer/PPsample or not.

Best pieces will be selected for the TOP.

Shipment Samples.

Shipment sample needs to be sent before the

shipment to buyers Warehouse/DC.

Purpose of Shipment Sample

Shipment sample is a representative

of bulk reaching buyer's

warehouse/DC. It goes from vendor to

buyer's office, to buyer'swarehouse/distribution centre and

finally to Store. Shipment sample

need to be in correct colour, trims,packing etc.aganist which DC will

check the bulk quantity received.
