Safety: The current EMSradios will be upgraded forapproximately $200 to $300 perradio vs. new-purchase cost of$2,200 to $3,700 per radio.
Service: The leaf collectionprogram went smoothly this year.
Our thanks to Tim Rannebargerand his associates for a job welldone. The leaf machine will requireapproximately $100 ofmaintenance for next season. Itwas suggested that a longer, moreflexible hose be installed to lessenrepairs and allow for faster, moreefficient pick-up.
Streets: Councilman RonYarano had nothing at this time. •
Our thanks to MP villagers for sogenerously supporting this year’sCops for Kids toy drive. The toyswere taken to a local elementaryschool, where the teachers reportthat they brought smiles to LOTS ofkids’ faces. The kids sangChristmas carols, and the teachersread Christmas books to them, allduring which the kids weresnuggling with their stuffedanimals. Many of them reportedthat they didn’t have a stuffedanimal at home! And the gameswill keep the kids occupied forhours. We appreciate yourgenerosity! •
