Vizag Round Table 77 was inaugurated on the 14th of August 1983 and chartered on the 18th of December 1983. It was sponsored by the Vijayawada round table 68. VRT 77 further went on to sponsor five tables in the city of destiny, Visakhapatnam and Singapore, as follows:

We believe that, with fellowship comes everything else, all the facets of tabling. This quarter has seen some all round performances in all the facets of tabling at VRT 77. Fellowship as the fore-runner, Community service, Twinklers activities and Publicity with little bit of Go Green activity and RTI Week celebrations forms this quarter report.

Major milestones achieved –

Tr.GVS Ramayya won the Super Secretary award for the 3rd quarter of 2012-13. This is the third consecutive time that the award was won.

Held a joint meeting with the 41ers Club No: 62 for first time.

“STRINGS”- The rock fest – a publicity & fund raising event was held on the 17th April.

Train The Trainers (TTT) was hosted by the table for the first time.

Tr.GVS Ramayya and Tr. Shrawan Somani are qualified trainers of RTI.

VRT-77 sponsored two new tables in Singapore. SRT-1 & SKRT-2

“Fantasy Flights” - a unique project of BRT-53 makes it way to Vizag.

Tr.Ameet facilitates donation of Rs.4 lakhs to VVRT-213 for their school project.

VRT-77 donates 3 lakh rupees to the Uttarakhand flood relief

MEETINGS:

On the administration front regular meetings have been held as per the guidelines of RTI Blue book. A total of 6 meetings were held during this quarter. Sufficient days notice , sms’s etc were sent to all tablers and sq.legs prior conducting the meeting.

Apr 2 nd : IPL fever is back. All the tablers decided to enjoy the evening witnessing the inaugural session at Chrome. The attendance was good , but only thing was everyone gathered after the inauguration was completed. Never mind the party continued.

4 th April : Post joint meeting with the 41ers Club No : 62 had opportunity to mingle with the pillars of 77. Great time and above all wonderful bonding.

5 th April : Well ……. The much awaited “Barista Lavazza” was finally inaugurated by our very own Sq.Leg.Prem Patro in the city of destiny. Inspite of being a working day , many tablers alongwith their ladies came together to enjoy the new flavors in vizag.

7 th April : Weekend relaxation in a exclusive style. The Beer Garden festival was organized at the The Park with some amazing Pilipino girl band. The fellowship team JAYRAKSHASH was at his best in making sure that the tablers and their respective ladies had a wonderful time. Great time and much needed fellowship esp. with the scorching heat.

8 th April : Its rare opportunity to see the first lady in Vizag spending time with the 77 ladies. It was perfect timing of her visit to Vizag from her busy schedule with the ongoing Chinese festival at Eleven restaurant. With some lovely arrangements made at the restaurant and great food the afternoon was just perfect.

9 th April :

Movie fellowship to “Chashme Badoor” was organized at the Varun Inox movie theatre. Around 16 heads attended the movie fellowship and enjoyed the movie.

11 th April : Table emergency meeting was conducted at Tr.Shrawan’s house followed by dinner and fellowship. Lovely food with some very important discussions.

13 th April : “STRINGS – The first Rock band show”, very first program of its kind was hosted at the A.S.Raja grounds in association with CMT Management College. An excellent program which show caused RTI and its projects. Very good attendance from the tabling fraternity coupled with huge crowd made the event a grand success.

18 th April : Vizag was to witness one of the finest programs of RTI. TTT was to be hosted by our table for the first time in its 30 years of history. Few participants arrived early and were billeted in 41ers Sq.Leg.Prem Patro residence. The same day they were taken to Chrome for lunch and Waltair club for dinner alongwith the tablers of Vizag. Excellent interaction with them and exploration of new friends in the making.

19 th – 21 st April : Train The Trainers (TTT) ; 2 ½ days program ; 2 RTI trainers ; 1 external trainer and 24 participants is what was witnessed by the tablers of Vizag. Excellent HR sessions , bonding , wonderful fellowship and above all 24 qualified trainers. Wow!.

On 19th April fellowship on the sea shore just few meters away from the sea at The Park hotel was just too good. Warm weather , active participants saw the fellowship on high spirits.

On 20th April all the participants were taken to ROSSO on the invitation of VVRT 213 social being hosted by Tr.Dr.Shiv Nagander , Tr.Ajay and Tr.Suman Bollina. All the participants were thoroughly enjoyed being there and the party lasted till wee hours. Excellent work done by Tr.Sandeep Choudary for not only organizing the complete event but also was there from dusk to dawn taking care of each and every minute thing and fulfilling the requirements of all the participants.

21 st April : TTT was just over , but the mood was set to rock the evening at Vizag. The SHAIMIK show was to be conducted in the evening at the Port Kalavani stadium. As many as 15 members from the tabling family including ladies and twinklers participated in the event and made sure Vizag rocked to the tunes of new era of music. Though it was old wine in new bottle , the energy to perform was just too good.

Later in the evening all the tablers were invited to Tr.Raiz’s residence for dinner which was enjoyed. Great food and wonderful fellowship.

26 th – 28 th April : The new era of RTI was to start with the inauguration of two new Singapore tables. VRT 77 had the privilege of being one of the sponsor tables. Tr.Shiva attended the gala event on behalf the VRT-77. One more feature added to the 30th glorious year of table history.

8 th May : It was the birthday of one of the fellowship boy Tr.Shashank. His dad , Sq.Leg.Anand Dutt arranged a surprise party at his residence. Same was attended by the tabling family. Wonderful food and same very nice arrangements. Truly enjoyed.

10 th May : Post meeting at Tr.Sandeep Choudary’s house ; HRD on cooking followed by stag fellowship with loads of fun and entertainment. Cards fellowship , IPL match , jokes etc.

18 th May :

Tr.Vikranth , Secretary from Singapore Round Table -1 was in town and we had fellowship at home…..ops Chrome. Same was attended by few tablers and was very interactive to know about the SRT-1 table activities.

20 th May : All tablers gathered at Ashok uncle house warming ceremony on a hot afternoon. The house was designed by Tr.Ameet and it was treat to watch the best interiors of the city. Seeing the house few of the tablers felt to buy a new house and make Tr.Ameet design it as Ashok uncles house.

23 rd May : Well the the idea to have a Archives night was floated by the Area. The fellowship team was just planning to meet the reqmt. However as it turned out, it was really fun and very happy to recollect the old times of 77. We had few presentations starting from the formation of VRT 77 way back in 1983 till the last AGM held at Hyderabad. The journey was long but was very refreshing.

2 nd – 3 rd June : “Flights of Fantasy” – a project of BRT 53 saw the tablers from Bhubaneshwar alongwith with 39 under privileged children land in city of destiny, Vizag. A warm welcome was provided the tablers of 77 which started a new era bonding with BRT-53.

All the children were provided with AC bus and the tablers were personally taken care. The arrival was in the afternoon and all the children were first taken to Kailashgiri then Submarine museum , ride on the coastline of Vizag. By evening, all the children were entertained with magic show beside the pool in a 4 star hotel where they were accommodated.

The late night was the time the bonding actually happen at Golf club. All in all wonderful idea of BRT-53 to have their pet project being carried out in Vizag. VRT-77 was proud to associate themselves with such a project and kudos to all the entire table of BRT-53.

8 th June : Tr.Shiva was in town and few tablers caught with him at Club followed by late night party at Chrome.

13 th June : The 24th meeting was held at Waltair club alongwith the ladies. Post meeting celebrated the birthday of Dr.Lakshmi (w/o Tr.Dr.Rakesh).

21 st June : DJ Anand was in town and tablers and ladies assembled at Chrome to set Chrome on fire with their singing skills for the Karaoke night. It was so much enjoyed by all the tablers and ladies and all partied till wee hours.

23 rd June : Fellowship at HT.Kiran’splace and the entire table was invited. Cricket match , cards , drinks , food , chit chat and above all celebrated the Chairmans birthday. Excellent arrangements and above all , everyone enjoyed house fellowship.

24 th & 25 th June : Tr.Shrawan and Reena arranged surprise party for Tr.Dr.Raghu at Eleven restaurant. Chairman was delighted for the surprise and the entire 77 family was invited to celebrate the Chairman’s birthday. All the tablers and ladies have assembled at Eleven restaurant by 9 pm and sprang surprise to the Chairman. The cake was specially made by the fellowship team for the birthday boy , declilous food was served by Tr.Devesh and the enjoyement was unlimited.

Just as clock ticked 12’ , another surprise was waiting in the store to celebrate the anniversary of Sq.Leg.Aaanand Khara & Kavitha Khara. A

special cake was made to cut by this lovely couple and the party continued till wee hours. All in all , wonderful day of fellowship and above all ; everyone enjoyed it.

Following programs are conducted :

27 th April : VKRT 225 conducted blood donation camp at Presidential school. Few tablers from the table attended the program and donated blood for noble cause.

2 nd – 3 rd June : “Flights of fantasy” – a pet project of BRT53 was conducted at Vizag with the support of VRT-77 at the city of destiny which facilitated the under privileged children from RTI built school from Bhubaneswar to visit the city and enjoy their weekend in style. Details of the same are covered under the fellowship report.

Apart from the above , following also have been carried out by the convener :

The convener Tr.Naveen Perla and Tr.Umesh have been donating 150 Kgs of Rice to the challenged school at Srikakulum every month. Same was carried out in the month of April, May and June. This project has been initiated by the convenors from the starting of the year 2013.Tr.Ameet Mirpuri mobilised Rs.4.00 lakhs to VVRT-213 for their school project. The amount already paid to VVRT-213 in the month of June itself to them. Uttarkand flood is known disaster to all the people in India. For the good work done by RTI, VRT-77 donated Rs.3.10 lakhs. 9 th – 20 th April : Its rare opportunity to have someone like Mr.Shiamak to come down to Vizag and conduct dance classes. 20 head from the table including the ladies and twinklers attended the dance classes held at Yoga village. It was very good learning experience for all those who attended the dance classes. The most satisfying part has been the live performance given by all the participants at Port Kalavani stadium which created new dimension to the people of Vizag. 10 th May : Post meeting we had an unqiue HRD on what to prepare when we are home alone. The HR was led y Chef Mr.Shailendra Singh and his daughter Visakha and taught the bunch of tablers to prepare daal tadka , Paneer Chilli and how to cook rice. It was much needed learning especially if you want to see your wife happy.

Tr.Sandeep Choudari May 6 th : Twlkr.Sudeeksha (Sq.Leg.Hari Anna’s daughter) celebrated her birthday and theentire twinklers gang was invited for the celebrations.

June 9 th : Twlkr.Swasya (daughter of Tr.Ramayya & Hyma) celebrated her birthday and a cake was sent to her on behalf of the table on this special day.

June 10 th : Twlkr.Avani (daughter of Tr.Shrawan & Reena) celebrated her birthday and a cake was sent to her on behalf of the table on this special day.

June 19 th : Twlkr.Ishita Mundra (daughter of Tr.Diwakar & Kavita Mundra) celebrated her birthday and a cake was sent to her on behalf of the table on this special day.

As informed by the convenor, the accounts have been submitted to the auditor for finalisation. Same is expected to be completed prior tables AGM.

- - Tr.GVS RamayyaTr.GVS Ramayya The Secretary has been sending all the emails, notifications, updates received to the table on time to time basis. All minutes have been circulated to all across RTI within 24 hours on completion of the meeting. Even the minutes are updated on MOMO on regular basis. Super Secretary pin was also won consecutively for 3 times till now.

-Tr.Dr.Raghu Yelavarthi -Tr.Dr.Raghu Yelavarthi All in all, it was yet another satisfactory quarter of activities at VRT-77, and yet another glorious year for VRT-77.
