parental perceptions of care
Introduction
Increasing use of fetal MRI in prenatal
diagnostics.
Fetal brain MRI is used for more
detailed assessment of fetuses with
sonographically suspected brain
abnormalities.
There is a scarcity of data on the neurodevelopmental outcome of
children who have undergone fetal MRI.
Complete scarcity of literature on the perception of parents who have
undergone fetal MRI, and recent studies have highlighted the need
for a prospective study to allow appropriate counseling.
Aims and Objectives
Calculate the number of fetal MRIs that resulted in TOP, IUFD, NND
and surviving infants.
Examine relationships between prenatal and postnatal MRI findings.
Examine the relationships between fetal MRI diagnosis and
subsequent neurodevelopmental outcome of surviving infants.
Explored parental views on the care and advice they were given when
referred for fetal MRI
