Why do most New Year’s Resolutions fail by the end of January?

Most of the time it's because the main goal was set too far in the future and a system for total success was never really thought through. While focusing on Quick and Regular wins is important, it's equally vital to set long-term plans and targets to pull you forward.

Long term planning takes skill and creativity. The ability to see

the challenges and obstacles ahead and create a system of how to overcome or minimize them when they show up.

Equally important is what to do after you've achieved your initial goal. Is it then time to set a new challenge? Go into maintenance mode? Or work on another area of your life? A good coach is concerned not with your short-term success but helping you create your best life now and for years to come.

Our point of view drives how we live. From how we raise our children to the food we eat. Our perspective is based on our own life experiences and what we've been told. By its very nature our perspective is narrow and limited.

A good coach will offer a broadened perspective.

There are other ways of thinking/ being/doing and this is required to change your actions. If you do not shift your perspective, you will not shift your actions and behavior. And nothing will change.
