About the Author My name is Abby and my hobbies are gymnastics, singing, baking, and being with my friends.I am writing about the gray wolf because they sounded interesting. 3. Who am I The height of a gray wolf is 26-32 in. The length of a gray wolf is 4.5 to 6.5 ft. from its nose to its tail. Its weight is 55-130 lbs. Its color is gray black and white. The wolves life span is about 7-8 years in the wild, but some have lived to be 10 years or more! 4. The Early Years When the wolf is young it stays with its mother until its about 10 years of age. They are born at 1-7 at a time. The pack they grow up with gives them food. 5. Habitat Sweet Habitat The gray wolves habitat is in forests , or places with big animal like deer, or in places with trees and a lot of animals they eat. 6. Whats On The Menu The gray wolf eats animals like deer, moose, and caribou. It also eats beaver, rabbit, and other small prey when it cant find bigger animals to hunt. 7. Making Tracks The gray wolf tracks look almost like your dogs would. They are just bigger and more oval. These are mostly found in Yellow Stone National Park. 8. Where in the World Gray wolves live in Alaska, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Canada. 9. Did you know The gray wolf was almost extinct!The gray wolf can smell over 100 ft. away!The gray wolf has the biggest noses out of all the other wolves! 10. Simply Irresistible The gray wolf was in almost every state in the USA.! Since there was so many people kept hunting them! They will not harm you if you dont get to close.
