What is Malnutrition?
Abnormal state of the body caused by deficiencies of one or multiple nutritional elements, an imbalance between requirements and nutrient inputs with onset of clinical symptoms presents on higland’s Peru.

Peru is in the 24 % of child malnutrition, a problem that
affects more than 700000 children
In the highland the percentage of children affected by chronic malnutrition is 32.6 %
The regions with the highest rate of child malnutrition are :
Huancavelica (44,7%)
Cajamarca (32,0%)
Huanuco (31,0%)
Apurimac (30,9%)
Ayacucho (30,3%)
Cusco (29,1%)
Ironically, some of them have mineral wealth.
EVOLUTION
EVOLUTION OF THE MALNUTRITION IN THE HIGH LAND
Therefore the statistics that show us the evolution
of chronic malnutrition in the Peru.
In Peru, the chronic malnutrition is a problem that affects in the main
the population of the region saws.
They reflect indirectly this situation in the region it saws.
IN THE GRAPH N°1 THE DIMINISHING TREND IS OBSERVED IN THE LAST 11 YEARS
In the graph N ° 02 we observe the evolution of the infantile malnutrition in the high land of Peru,
with diminishing trend from the year 2000, with 39 %, up to the first semester the year 2011 with 30 %.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES
At present the fundamental period is identified to anticipate
the malnutrition of the child
In this stage it is when the basic development of the child takes place.
The pregnancy The first two years of life.
DURING THESE STAGES, THE INTERVENTIONS GATHER IN CROWDS IN TWO BIG CATEGORIES
Actions of prevention:
Contribution of vitamins and essential minerals
• Iron• Folic acid • Vitamin • Zinc • Iodine
Promotion of the exclusive lactation up to 6 months of age.
Measurement of weight and height, and detection of cases of sharp
malnutrition.
Promotion of the consumption of iodized salt.
Changes in the sociocultural environment:
Promotion of habits of hygiene, as the hand wash, to reduce the risk of
diarrhea and other diseases.
Creation of suitable facilitie of water and reparation, and
formation for his maintenance.
Actions to achieve a sanitary suitable attention and training of
sanitary and community personnel.
PROGRAMS OF THE CONDITION FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST THE INFANTILE MALNUTRITION IN THE SAW OF PERU:
National Strategy of Articulated Intervention of Fight Against the Poverty and the Chronic Infantile Malnutrition (To grow).
Priority reduce the poverty to 30 per cent and the chronic infantile malnutrition to 16% in
2011

CONCLUSIONS
We knew that the general determinant factors of the infantile malnutrition in the Peruvian Highland.
We have learnt the impact and risks that carry the malnutrition.
We also knew about the major impact of the infantile malnutrition in the departments of the Peruvian Highland.
And finally we have known about the prevention and the different Aid programs in order to avoid the infantile malnutrition in the Peruvian highland.
We understood about the evolution with that the malnutrition has decreased.
