Dear Parents and Kingstown
Community,
Last week was a great one for
the students! Zac Russ from
Rugby Australia, visited our
school last Thursday and once
again delivered excellent skill
sessions for both Upper and
Lower Division students. Zac’s
sessions are always impressive,
as he consistently reinforces
listening skills, manners, team
work and good sportsmanship,
along with the ball skills.
Last Wednesday, Katrina as-
sessed all the students on their
foundation gymnastic skills. Stu-
dents have really enjoyed these
sessions with Katrina. Their
tumbling and cartwheels have
greatly improved!

It’s really happening!
Mr Lake and students are
making a movie!
Credit goes to Royden
Lake
Well, we all know when
Royden starts to think
about a project, it’s going
to be a good one! He seems
to also, have the knack of
involving professionals.
Last animation we had the
news reader. This time, he
didn’t get Spielberg, but
we did obtain Lou Danieli
(just as good!) from Danieli
Studios and Gary Fry who
will be the sound recorder.
Mr Danieli is coming out
this Thursday to help stu-
dents film their Dream-
time Story. We thank him
very much for giving up his
time and sharing his expe-
rience with our students.
We would like to thank
Royden, once again, for all
his behind the scenes plan-
ning and effort outside
school. It’s greatly appre-
ciated, Royden!
Welcome Back, Lyndie!
This Friday, I will be at-
tending a Principal Meeting
at Ben Lomand and Mr
Bock will also be away.
Mrs Skewes and Ms Prestige
will be taking our classes.
Skip Rope for Heart will still
be on this Friday. Students
have been enjoying practice
sessions with the Skip Rope
music all week.
Year 5/6 students from
many local schools, including
Uralla, Bendemeer, Ken-
tucky, Kelly’s Plains, Armi-
dale and Black Mountain will
be attending the overnight
camp on Thursday/Friday of
the last school week this
term (next week) at “The
Hill,” a property at Ken-
tucky.
A note was sent home yes-
terday with year 5 and 6
students. In order for the
children to arrive at the
camp on time, the bus will
depart Kingstown at 8.30
am, year 5 & 6 students at-
tending the camp need to be
at School by 8.30am on
Thursday, 20th, October.
Please contact the school if
this is not possible.
Well, just look at those
new bench seats outside
the BER classroom, aren’t
they beauties! Thanks so
much John Beynon for your
welding and drilling skills!
Great job! Thank you also,
to the on looking support
team!
Language School Visit
Next Tuesday, 15 students
and two teachers will be ar-
riving in Tamworth and driv-
ing across to Kingstown, by
mini bus, to stay at Tim and
Dawn Dew’s farm stays for
two nights. They will spend a
day, on Wednesday, with the
Kingstown students.
We greatly appreciate the
effort both Dawn and Tim
have put into the planning,
ensuring the students from
Sydney have a great rural
experience. Dawn and Tim
have arranged a visit to
Longford Station on the way,

meals, marshmallows,
damper and clear country
sky star gazing on the
first night and a visit next
door to the Whites to
view some shearing on
their last morning. It real-
ly sounds wonderful!
Thanks so much Tim and
Dawn!
The students will spend
Wednesday at school. We
have planned some games,
volley ball and an early af-
ternoon barbeque after
school which students,
parents, friends and com-
munity members might like
to attend.
If you are attending,
please bring your own meat
to BBQ and a salad to
share with friends.
Commencing at 5.00pm.
