a Connect the connectors.

a Position the lock on the front side door box sectionretaining hook.

a Refit the front side door lock bolts (3) in the order (4), (5) and (6) .

a Torque tighten the front side door lock bolts (8N.m).

The diagnostic tool is not needed when removingand refitting a front side door electric windowmotor.

The diagnostic tool is needed only when replac-ing a front side door electric window motor.

REFITTING


a If simply removing and refitting the side door electricwindow motor, apply the before repair procedure(see Window winder: Before/after repair proce-dure) .


a Refit the front side door electric window motor.

a Torque tighten the bolts of the front side doorelectric window motor (4 N.m).

a Connect the connectors of the front side door elec-tric window motor.

a Refit the rear side door electric window motor.

a Torque tighten the bolts of the rear side door elec-tric window motor (4 N.m).

a Remove the masking tape from the sliding windowof the front or rear side door.

In order to connect the pulley of the front sidedoor electric window motor to the crownwheel ofthe front side door electric window mechanism, itmay be necessary to activate the front side doorelectric window motor.

- the glovebox bolts.


a Clip on the side panel (1) .

a Refit the inhibitor switch (see Inhibitor switch: Re-moval - Refitting) (88C, Airbags and pretensioners)

a Refit:

- the front side door seal,


- the dashboard trim piece (see 57A, Interior equip-ment, Dashboard trim: Removal - Refitting,page 57A-7) .

a Remove:

a Unclip the jack (1) .


a Remove the glovebox cover shafts (2) by pressingon the clips at (3) .

a Remove:

- the glovebox cover shafts at (4) ,

- the glovebox cover.

a Refit the glovebox cover.

a Clip the glovebox cover shafts in place.


a Clip the jack (1) in place.

a Refit:


- the storage compartment light (see Storage com-partment light: Removal - Refitting) (81B, Interi-or lighting).

a Unlock the gear lever knob by turning the lockingring a quarter of a turn clockwise (5) .

a Unclip the gear lever knob following (6) .

a Remove the gear lever trim (7) using the tool (Car.1363).

a Unclip the cup holder (8) .

a Partially unclip the handbrake lever gaiter (9) .

a Disconnect the cruise control switch (see Switch:Removal - Refitting) (83D, Cruise control).

a Disconnect the offset audio socket connector (11) .

a Unclip the centre console rear panel following (12)using the tool (Car. 1363).

a Disconnect the connector (13) from the electrical ac-cessories socket (depending on the equipment lev-el).

a Unclip the rear air distribution duct (see Rear airdistribution duct: Removal - Refitting) (61A,Heating system).


a Remove the front bolts (14) from the centre console.

a Remove the rear bolts (15) from the centre console.

a Remove the centre console at (16) then at (17) .

REFITTING


a Refit the centre console.

a Refit the centre console bolts (14) , (15) .


a Connect the electrical accessories socket connec-tor.

a Clip the centre console rear panel in place.

a Connect the connector of the offset audio socket.

a Connect the cruise control switch (see Switch: Re-moval - Refitting) (83D, Cruise control).

a Clip the handbrake lever gaiter.

a Clip the cup holder.

a Clip on the gear lever trim piece.

a Refit the gear lever knob.

a Lock the gear lever knob.

a Clip on the gear lever trim.

a Clip on the diagnostic socket flap.

a Clip on the clips (2) .

a Clip on the centre console side faces.

a Carry out a function test on all functions.

- the lower cover (2) .

a Disconnect the connectors.

a Disconnect the interior rear-view mirror connector(3) .

a Disconnect the passenger compartment tempera-ture sensor connector (4) .
