“The trouble with our times is that the future is not what it used to be.” - Paul Valery
![Page 3: 5 Technologies 5 Years](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022042817/559ce99a1a28ab39708b457a/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
Your Technology Is Obsolete… • Over the next 5 years, the following
connections, systems and configurations will become obsolete – Almost all analog A/V connectivity – 4:3 aspect ratio displays – “Low tech” workplace meeting spaces – USB 1.1 structured connectivity – DVI-D connectivity
• We are the “Analog Migrants” to this brave, new, digital world!
![Page 4: 5 Technologies 5 Years](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022042817/559ce99a1a28ab39708b457a/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
LVDS, VGA and DVI-D Are Yesterday’s Tech • The change to DisplayPort is being
driven a need to ensure universal HDCP compliance via an efficient, evolvable multi-streaming technology
• Intel, AMD, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung and LG all announced the move away from analog connectivity in 2010
• VESA disbanded the DVI Standards Committee in early 2013 – DVI-D is expected to decline to
negligible use levels by 2016
![Page 5: 5 Technologies 5 Years](https://reader033.vdocument.in/reader033/viewer/2022042817/559ce99a1a28ab39708b457a/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
