1. Match yourworkout toyour workmode.Grouping similar activities, called“batching,” eliminates some of themental setup time required betweenactivities. Why not apply it to exercise?Quick activities like phone calls,emails and errands, call for a briefhigh-intensity workout or two.

2. Schedule it.A regular routine creates automaticcues in the brain, so switchingbetween work and exercise will soonbecome effortless.

3. Mentallymap out yourbreak.Start thinking about your break whileyou’re doing other tasks; visualizewhen you’ll go, how you’ll prepare andwhat you’ll do.

4. Leave offstrategically.A to-do list and a few notes might helpyou pick up where you left off, whetheryou want to move around for 10minutes every hour or head out for along workout during lunch.

5. Drink up!Dehydration is a big cause of fatigueand lack of focus after exercise. So ifyou’re heading out for a middayworkout, be sure you’ve had plenty ofwater first and keep drinking when youget back
