July 20 - Lubov SSMI Foundation is officially incorporated. From this
moment forward, known as Lubov SSMI Foundation Inc.
December 21 - Lubov receives official charitable status
September 5 - Lubov officially opens its doors. The foundation was blessed by the
Father and Head of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk
and Metropolitan of Canada and Archbishop Lawrence Huculak, OSBM.

give specifically to the foundation
March 22 - First official board meeting,
Sr. Janice Soluk, SSMI named as Chair
November 2 - First Fundraising Event: The Perogy
Supper Miracle! Raised $52,351 in support of
Immaculate Heart of Mary School capital needs.

Memorandum of Understandings were put in place with Holy Family Home and Immaculate Heart of Mary School

2016
The first, of what was to become an annual Home of Hope breakfast fundraiser,
with the Ukrainian Catholica Women’s League - raised over $31,000 in support of
the Home of Hope in Lviv, Ukraine.
The Foundation established a relationship with the Sisters Servants of Mary
Immaculate, Sorrowful Mother of God Province in Lviv, Ukraine, allowing
the foundation to accept gifts designated to support the Sisters’ work with
children in orphanages, sadochok and young women in the Home of Hope.
October 30 - Official public launch of Life Love Legacy: A Campaign to
Expand and Revitalize Holy Family Home. Holy Family receives $500,000
gift from Carpathia Credit Union.
Lubov received their first endowment fund - The Archbishop Metropolitan
Bzdel Endowment Fund
IHMS’s first Annual Giving Campaign, three new funds were
introduced. Move the Spirit Capital Fund, School Operations Fund
and the Scholarship/Bursary Fund.
The Foundation began producing the Bi-Annual Alumni
Newsletters.
July 31 - SSMI commemorated in Dauphin for
88 years of service in the community. Sisters’
began their missions in Dauphin are in 1928
and the community wanted to ensure a
lasting tribute was created to honour the
contribution they have made to the founda-
tion of the community.
Lubov SSMI Foundation received some dona-
tions designated to the Sisters’ Monument
project.
Lubov SSMI Foundation graciously receives and establishes a second endowment from Sr. Patricia Lacey –
the William and Dorothy Lacey Endowment.
June 13 - First third party event – Walter Kulyk and friends
donated $2,065 from their 7th annual Liver Fest.

September 17—The Foundation had a display and attended the Celebration of Sisters Servants of Mary
Immaculate on their 100th Anniversary of Dedicated Service in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

More than just a parking lot – Lubov became a home to
farmers markets and seed sales run by the Knights of
Columbus Canon Luhowy Assembly #0374 with proceeds
designated to Holy Family Home.
January 11 - The new front entrance of
Holy Family Home is officially opened,

Huculak, OSBM.
