At the 50th International anniversary TCM Congress in Rothenburg ob der Tauber about 1,300 international partici-

pants are again expected in 2019. The participant structure is primarily made up of doctors and alternative practi-

tioners. Furthermore, interested physiotherapists, pharmacists and other professionals from the fields of traditional

Chinese medicine (acupuncture, drug therapy, diagnostics, dietetics, Tuina massage and Qigong / Taiji) will visit the

congress.

The sponsors and exhibitors are mainly companies with a focus on acupuncture needle distribution and acupunc-

ture supplies, pharmacy, medicinal herbs processors and distributors, device manufacturers, and businesses with a

Wildbad Congress Centre

Nature, art nouveau and delicious cuisine – events here offer pure enjoyment: the TCM Wildbad Congress Centre in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Situated on the Tauber Slopes and surrounded by a park with an array of old trees, the Wildbad possess both elegance and mystery on many levels. The complex itself was

designed in the art nouveau architectural style at the turn of the 20th century. Today, the TCM Kongress Rothenburg can make use of the beautiful rooms that were originally

planned as a »first class health resort«. The park hosting a large field and a pavilion at the banks of the Tauber offer an ideal stage for practicing Qi Gong, Tai Chi and medita-

tion. Café Terrasse, with a lovely view of the river, is a popular place for our participants from over 20 countries to come together.

Wildbad’s in-house kitchen utilises the fundamentals of the 5-element diet for food preparation during the TCM Kongress Rothenburg and also incorporates organic products

from the region.

The Wildbad Congress Centre can comfortably be reached from Rothenburg’s old town in just 15 minutes on foot.

General Conditions for Exhibitions

1. OrganiserThe TCM Kongress Rothenburg o. d. T. is being organised by the association »Arbeitsgemein-schaft für Klassische Akupunktur und Traditionelle Chinesische Medizin e. V.«, Schafgarbenweg 1, 22844 Norderstedt (herein referred to as »AGTCM«).

2. ApplicationAn application must be made by submitting the provided AGTCM application form. This applica-tion form shall be duly signed by the applicant and sent to AGTCM within the stated time limit. All items that are to be displayed or sold must be listed on the form. The application is only valid for the designated company; subleases are not permitted. The use of stands with co-exhibitors is subject to the explicit written consent of AGTCM; such an arrangement is also subject to an additional fee.

3. Admission and Stand AllocationThere exists no general right for applicants to be approved for exhibition; this also applies to exhibitors from previous AGTCM congresses. AGTCM will decide on admission at its own dis-cretion and with the explicit goal of achieving fair distribution of industries, products and com-panies.

Approval is granted with the confirmation of a stand allocation; this confirmation signifies the conclusion of a binding contract between the exhibitor and AGTCM. In special cases to be determined by AGTCM, AGTCM has the right to alter the stand, its allocation or its size prior to the commencement of the exhibition. AGTCM has the right to remove items that are in conflict with the goals of the exhibition; in special cases to be determined by AGTCM, exhibitors may be excluded altogether.

4. Payment TermsThe exhibitor will receive an invoice for rental fees via the registration confirmation. Additional charges will be invoiced after the event. All amounts are subject to value added tax, when appli-cable. In cases of delayed payment, the failure to pay or if the exhibitor has filed for insolvency, AGTCM is entitled to terminate the contract with immediate effect and allocate the stand to another party. The exhibitor must file a lien to AGTCM on all objects on his/her stand.

5. Use of Stand, AlterationsThe exhibitor is obliged to comply with the specified opening hours for the congress as well as to set-up times on Tuesday, May 28th 2019 from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm and dismantling time on Saturday, June 1st 2019 starting at 3:00 pm – delayed set-up and early dismantling are expressly prohibited. Failure to comply with the set-up and dismantling times subjects to the contract party to a penalty of 25% of the rental fee. Use of the stand is only granted to the exhibitor and any co-exhibitors pre-approved by AGTCM. Only items that are listed in the application form may be displayed or sold. All alterations are subject to prior approval. The exhibitor is liable for all responsibilities of the co-exhibitor.

AGTCM retains the right to postpone the exhibition, to alter its duration, to partly or complete-ly discontinue it or to cancel it, should conditions deem such an action necessary. A compensa-tion claim for damages is withheld from the exhibitor in such a case. If the ground for alteration or cancellation is external to the scope of responsibility agreed to by AGTCM, restitution of rental payments and costs will not be granted; however, a corresponding share of any costs saved by AGTCM resulting from the cancellation shall be reimbursed to the exhibitor.

6. Calculation of Rent, CostsDetails in relation the rental fee are stipulated in the registration form – the rental fee is based on size and type of the stand. Rental fees will remain unchanged should the duration of the exhibition be shortened or should the allotted time for set-up and dismantling the stands be altered. The exhibitor is obligated to pay for all additional services ordered by the exhibitor; these include all auxiliary costs for stand construction, electricity, internet and additional furniture. AGTCM retains the right to distribute these costs proportionally among all exhibitors or based on consumption.

7. Technical QuestionsThe exhibitor will receive documents relating to technical details and the relevant event times. AGTCM may alter the times for set-up and dismantling of the stands, to which the exhibitor must abide. Only flame resistant material is permitted for use in the stand. AGTCM and the relevant authorities are entitled to inspect any pertinent verification documents. The exhibitor has to clear all materials from the stand upon the given dismantling time; all items left behind will be disposed of without further notice. General

8. AdvertisingThe exhibitor may only use the area within the perimeter of the stand for the purpose of advertis-ing and may only use materials that have previously been registered for use. AGTCM may issue regulations relating to the design of the outside surfaces of the stand. Advertising outside the perimeter of the stand are not allowed, nor is optical or acoustical advertising if it is projected outside of the stand. AGTCM has the right to demand that non-approved advertising be stopped. The use of persons, material, surveys, games or competitions for the purpose of advertising may not be used outside the perimeter of the stand or outside the exhibition grounds.

9. Insurance, LiabilityThe exhibitor is obligated to have an effective insurance policy that covers all standard risks, including third party liability, theft, damages incurred during set-up or dismantling of the stand and transport damages. As AGTCM has rented the exhibition ground from a third party, utilities (such as electricity, gas and water) will be delivered by third parties. Therefore, AGTCM is only liable for claims relating to the rental contract and those relating to utilities only to the extent that it is within the wherewithal of AGTCM to make a claim against these parties; AGTCM holds no further contractual liability. AGTCM’s liability is limited to covering AGTCM’s third-party liability insurance.

There is no limitation of liability for injuries to life, body or health and for cases of intent or gross negligence. The exhibitor is liable for all damages caused by his/her staff, and is liable for all damages of persons using the stand with his/her consent. AGTCM must be notified of any such damages immediately.

All claims based on the contractual relation between the exhibitor and AGTCM must be made within a preclusion period of two months.

10. Photographs and FilmsThe exhibitor accepts that photos and films of the exhibitor and his/her staff can produced and distributed in the media.

11. Cancellation PolicyDue to obligations existing in relation to third parties, special arrangements cannot be made between AGTCM and the exhibitor. Cancellations penalties shall be charged by the organiser for cases in which the exhibitor cancels the contractually binding registration, sponsor package or one or more supplementary services.

Cancellation penalties are as follows: Cancellations can be made free of penalties until Feb-ruary 1st 2019. From February 2nd 2019 until March 15th 2019, a penalty of 50 % of the total cost shall be charged. All cancellations made on or after March 16th 2019 are subject to pay 100 % of the total costs. All cancellation penalties will be calculated inclusive of the legally applicable value added tax.

12. Other ConditionsAll agreement between the exhibitor and AGTCM must be made in written form. German laws apply in all aspects of the contract with the place of jurisdiction being Berlin.

This translation of the German text has only been made for reasons of convenience. The terms and conditions stated in the German version of this text shall prevail in all cases.
