Highlight/Memory Numerous awards from the community: co-host at award ceremony with Johnny

Bench for many years of doing free sports physicals for Sayler Park, Taylor, St. Al’s, Oak Hills, etc.; and award for providing complete medical care (single-handedly) for the Sayler Park area during the tornado on April 3, 1974. Also gave all patients and residents affected by the tornado free care for one-half year.

Represented the Academy on “Call The Doctor” with Dr. Al Thielen for 10-15 years.

Taught, trained and prepped one of the first physician assistants (John Davis, RN) to be board certified. Also assisted the Ohio State Medical Board in its initial planning as to what a PA could do. The first two states to use a PA were Iowa and Kentucky; initial use of the PA in my office was determined by what these state boards allowed.

Preceptorship training of University of Cincinnati College of Medicine students for about 20 years.
